Thanks everyone. I know it’s a bit ironic that this is the good news thread. However, it is good news is I survived and am recovering. I think I’m trying to find humour in it. I’m lucky in general and fortunate for all the variables in place that meant it’s not worse than it is. There were some really scary moments and I’m still in plenty of physical, mental and emotional shock but also healing and in good spirits. It is amazing what can happen in the blink of an eye though.

Her death isn’t good news, but what she says is. I do not have Netflix anymore, so I can’t watch the full thing (it is called “Famous Last Words”), but I guess it would be worth it. This is the only source I could find that shows that bit where she adresses me and you and also sends some people to space that earned that honor:
Let’s keep the hope up together! Also stay like her when getting old - seeing the world clearly, being angry at what goes wrong, adressing it and never losing touch with what matters.

Unfortunately it was against their rules as it seems for that sub. She said she wants to set Trump and his closest allies, also Putin and Xi on a Musk rocket with Musk on it too to wherever Musk wants to go. Which was extremely adorable. She also asked everyone to keep hope up. Had me tear up.
If you can watch the whole thing, I am sure it will be worth it. We canceled the family account on Netflix because of another price hike, so I can’t.

Renewables overtake coal as world’s biggest source of electricity.
Electricity demand is growing around the world but the growth in solar and wind was so strong it met 100% of the extra electricity demand, even helping drive a slight decline in coal and gas use.

And this while so many governments are stupid and fight it. Imagine what we could have done if the world had stand together in this. Our Bundeskanzler (Chancelor Merz) said basically “Doesn’t matter, it is too late to change anything.” He got a lot of backlash for that but damn made he me angry.
