I hope so much they get it done, but that the experiment was a success is a good start. At some point we will need basic income for everyone everywhere instead of allowing people to have billions and do only bad things with that money.

Creative works can no longer be mined by AI without consent in Australia
The Albanese Government has announced that it will not introduce a Text and Data Mining (TDM) exception into Australian copyright law. Effectively, the Australian government have said: creative works are not raw material for algorithms without consent.

When I was in high school, there were around 80 Iberian Lynxes alive. They were in extreme danger.
Nowadays, the repoblation has been an impressive success, and there are… MORE THAN 2400 LYNXES ALIVE.

The connection to “good news” is a bit tenuous because it’s something in response to bad news but:
