The only certified 2018 game that’s got my eye is Monster Hunter: World. I took the release weekend off so I could have 72 uninterrupted hours of hunting. I should probably eat and sleep a little too, but that hopefully won’t be necessary.
They don’t have release dates yet, but I’m eager to see what Guacamelee 2 and Spelunky 2 have in store. Fingers crossed for early 2018 releases.
As far as finishing games go, I’d like to revisit Super Mario Galaxy and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I put a good amount of time into both, but didn’t really finish either.
There’s also Hollow Knight. Every time I think I’m nearing the end, I find two new areas to explore. Not that I’m complaining, I’ve had a great time with the game. I thought I’d have finished it by the end of the year, but that doesn’t seem likely at this point.
My mountain of shame is huge! I have to play Tales of Monkey Island nad Heavy Rain. And I’ve seen box edition of Syberia 3 for 10$ in local shop, but I’m afraid of spoiling my best memories
I’ve reduced my shame mountain recently by going through my put-down-for-now-to-come-back-to-later-honest games list and deciding which ones of them I’ll ever actually go back to and removing the rest from my backlog and/or playing list. Still have quite a stack, though.
I still have some games on my backlog but I’m really looking forward to play the Shadow of the Colossus remake since I haven’t played it on either PS2 or PS3 (I already have the ICO and SotC collection for the PS3)
I want to finish Banjo-Kazooie, the last game on my N64 backlog, Alan Wake, and Retro Game Crunch before my winter break ends. Once I’m back in college, I want to play through South Park TFBW and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I need to finish this too lol. So many people get on me for not having finished it yet.
Once I get a new laptop I’m planning on downloading Ori and the Blind Forest. I bought it a couple weeks ago but need an up to date computer to play on. My Intel Core I3 from 2014 won’t cut it, barely processes Bastion well.
Also I would like to make a dent in Chrono Trigger on Retropie. I built a Pigrrl and need to use it more.
Despite my best efforts, seems like the only games I play are card games (online or physical). My PS4 and Retropie machine are severely neglected. Not sure if I should try to fight my urge to just play PC card games or just go with it…
Ori is so good! I just finished up a second playthrough of the Definitive Edition. It’s hard as shit in spots, but it’s really good.
I’ve gone through spells like this. My wife and I used to play a lot of Dominion and Ascension until she got too good and started kicking my butt all the time
I’m in the same boat on the RetroPie. I’ve not turned it on at all in a while. And I’ve got one of those Analogue Super NTs coming, which is just silly.
