great feature but ill never be reading that haha
Where is that? Spotify?
Apple Podcasts. Just randomly checked it today.
I believe that @Ryker is the Atelier games expert if anyone would like a rundown.
EVERYONE GET ON THERE AND RATE IT FIVE STARS!
yes forum software this is a real sentence thank you
I don’t use any of the “big” podcast apps, so not sure how useful I can be.
Its okay. Just rate it on something if it gives the option lol
Ok, here’s my thoughts on episode three;
Ooof. Over two hours! May be an idea to split these in half? It’ll put you one strap ahead in EPs being ready too.
The carrot talk at the start I zoned out on, sorry. …
My list of Sonic games to be deleted and my arguments for and against is being written now, as well as why I think a rejig of the cannon CAN be done!
On Animal Crossing; my wife has started (again) the Switch game (New Adventure? Can’t remember the name) so I decided to pick start up New Leaf for the first time. Thought it might be fun for us to play the same game (basically) together.
So Neva totally threw me when I tried to search it. I thought it would be spelt “neiva” or “neeva.” Due to my Australian accent, “Neva” is pronounced “neh-vah.” Anyway, while I think Gris is beautiful I didn’t think much of it as a game. Would you still recommend Neva?
Is there anywhere we can see - or would be happy to share - the breakdown of where listeners are? Think it’d be really cool to see.
Hearing talk about the card game makes me think of all the MTG cards I’ve sitting around not doing anything out of dropping out of the hobby two or so years ago.
Based on what @Roach said about Citizen Sleeper, I don’t think I should play it. Also, it looks Civ-like, which makes my anxiety etc go through the roof. It does sound really cool though.
@georgeypoorgey , go play Two Point Hospital NOW! It is AMAZING! Campus isn’t as good, but still worth checking out, but Hospital is awesome!
I had a look at the DoA: Boobie Bounce trailer and man, I don’t care how cute the girls are I could NOT play a game with those voices. Nails down a chalkboard, man!
Just on the Gun Gal and anime aesthetic in general; is anyone else sick of seeing this aesthetic in games? It’s SO overdone at this point. Why is it so pushed? Is it just easier to do. I mean, it’s not like you need to worry about facial proportions. Where’s all the Ralph Bakshi-style games?
Atomfall: trust an American to see this and straight away go “Doctor Who.” It’s like a non-American seeing anything with guns and going “it’s American”. I am totally looking forward to it though, and if probably my most anticipated of the games discussed.
Another great ep, folks. Looking forward to #4.
The next one is just over 2 hrs as well… we kinda gave up on keeping time super tight. We end up with too much to talk about and we are having fun. Lol
When ive got a few ill pull up the map and stats for listener location breakdown for you.
I didnt even think “england=Doc Who” when i said it lol. It more was it feels weird in the way that show feels weird to me. It reminded me of Fallout New Vegas DLC Old World Blues. Its like this weird kind of sci fi anomoly feel that i really dig, something i also felt that Dr Who has.
I do talk a lot.
a
I wasnt even counting guests. The only episodes weve had crack under an hour and a half are fillers we did beforehand, that cover a single subject throughout.
please no one track our average words per minute because i know my yapping is staggering
That would be a very interesting stat hahahaha.
Animal Crossing
New Leaf is great! Wild World is the AC with the rolling world that we were nebulously criticizing
Anyway, while I think Gris is beautiful I didn’t think much of it as a game. Would you still recommend Neva?
Yes-ish. Neva is a more mechanically complex game that Gris including combat and varied gameplay styles. I still would place it much closer on a scale toward Gris than toward Devil May Cry. I loved it and I would encourage folks check it out even if it doesn’t seem like precisely their thing.
@georgeypoorgey , go play Two Point Hospital NOW
That’ll for sure be a train game when I get my steam deck…
According to apple podcasts transcripts, there were 24,610 words on the last episode. Someone else can do the math
24590 were georgey at least.
It averages to about 7k per person
