That’s true, so we make sure to pick stuff up regularly. My wife is new to AC and so I’m letting her take the lead a lot and knowing that stuff I do isn’t just disappearing entirely makes me feel a little less useless

It’s up to you. I think the dodo codes are a good way to start, because it doesn’t require sharing friend codes. But I see no real harm if you want to share a friend code.

I literally just heard on the Bombcast a few minutes ago that you can plant fruit trees just by planting the fruit! I’m an idiot. I’ve just sold all the random other fruits I’ve gotten on other islands.

That’s unfortunate but there’s plenty of time to get more.
If you find yourself on a mystery island with a fruit other than your own, take some fruit with you but be sure to eat some of it and take the whole trees. That way you can plant full grown trees and not have to wait for the seedlings to grow over three days.

Do you just dig up a tree and put it in your pocket? I have apples on my island.

You can dig up entire trees if you eat a fruit before hand, similar to the power they give you to destroy rocks.

You can plant a fruit in a hole and wait a few days, or you can eat a fruit and dig up the entire tree and put it in your pocket. You can then plant it anywhere by just selecting it from your pocket, no holes required. And if there were any fruit on it when you dug it up, they should still be there when you replant it.

Yup, just as Kory and Lunt said. I fast tracked a bunch of my cherry groves that way.
Peaches and apples I had to plant because I haven’t found trees yet.

Do you need any oranges or cherries? I have both at the moment (peaches and apples are all either growing or newly replanted).

If you have all the fruit but you’re still missing a stamp, it doesn’t actually count them until you plant them including one of your native fruit.
