Grouvee’s Official Animal Crossing: New Horizons Discussion Thread and General Hangout

Hah, I totally forgot that I’d even met Harv. I suppose I should go over there. Although I prefer to take my own photos.

I do actually have AC amiibo and Amiibo cards… But yea I just want to get a goofy pic of me chopping down all my friend’s trees.

Harv is a creepy dude and his “photo studio” is even creepier.

He was my least favourite NPC in New Leaf. Even lower than the weird Dream Suite person.

Yea it’s like the house a serial killer would own. “Here is the yard room and here is the cabin room. This is the sky room…”

Exactly. I ran for the hills when I saw the dungeon in the basement.

Filbert is most definitely on a card! A friend actually bought his for me from ebay because he knew Filbert was my favorite going back to the Wild World days. I have four binders of the cards, one for each series, plus the camper ones that didn’t run for very long. There’s also a listing on the Nintendo website, I believe, where you can keep track of them. So you could see which ones are available or not.

I know you already got a response about random villagers, but yes, that’s how it is, at least for the first three. Somewhat. I had talked to Bianca on an island before setting up the three plots, and she said she’d like to move to my island. So I built the plots, and she was the first one to arrive. (My third was Marina, which I was SUPER excited about, because octopi are my favorite animals and I want all of them, haha. She’s also my helper on Pocket Camp.)

In short, you can meet them on islands, but you aren’t able to use Amiibo cards/figures at that point. Once you hit 10 is when you can typically start seeing them rotate out.

Helpful, thank you.

I really want to get rid of my two starters. They just don’t fit the vibe of my island.

So I just picked up more DIY recipes and some of them have prerequisites that are recipes I don’t have. Not sure if I missed something or if it’s just random.

Yeah I have some of those. I can only assume that the ones I’m missing are relatively common and will be along shortly

Glad to know I’m not alone because now I need not worry I missed out on buying some DIY recipes.

I’m sure lots of people know about this, but today I learned that the wardrobe is actually functional. Not only that, it lets you select clothing items from your pocket and your storage. Love this game.

I knew it was functional but it hadn’t clicked with me that it combined your pocket and storage into a single interface. Very useful.

My Sheikah Slate phone case design, in case anyone fancies something like it. The blue “eye” part gets covered up exactly by the logo on the back of the phone but I included it anyway in case I fancy using the design for something else.

If anyone is interested, I’ve opened my gate with the Dodo-Code FV014. I should be on for the next little while. If anyone needs oranges I’ve some trees with fruit you’re welcome to.

Unfortunately I was asleep else I would. But I have news:

In couch co-op, items picked up or caught by the followers do not disappear. They go to the recycle box in resident services. You can go get them whenever you like.

So I grew up with the internet and was heavily taught stranger danger and all that, but I like everyone on these forums! Is it frowned upon for us to just share our friend codes?

I kept going after my Gameboy phone case. Here is my Switch hoodie! I would wear this in real life!

That is awesome. I too would buy that.

There’s a limit though and if you hit it anything you pick up replaces the oldest item in the box.
