Visiting mystery islands, selling hot items every day, selling fruit (at one point I had maybe twice to three times the number of fruit trees I currently have), and catching and selling fish and bugs, especially when CJ and Flick are around. Oh, and selling turnips (only once so far).
I’ve definitely spent more than what I currently have on bridges, inclines and house upgrades, and a crazy ton of clothes. I find it’s not that hard to make money in this game.

IDK if anyone else has tried this, but I realized last night that you could make a bulletin board post with your wishlist! No more awkward 2 minute answers because you’re using the in-game keyboard.

I read an article that seemed to suggest that you each need to visit each other’s island before the Nook Phone puts them in your friend list, but I’m not sure of that. Could’ve just been weird wording.

Anyone that is playing/has played New Leaf willing to part with some fruit? I need apples, cherries, oranges, and persimmon. I definitely wouldn’t say no to any perfect fruit either.

Having played with this a bit, I’ve found that people don’t appear in your in-game friends list at all unless you are friends on the Switch itself. They show up as “friends you have played with”.

So today the hot item at Nook’s Cranny on my island is the Hearth. Sells for just over 10K. Made with bamboo, iron, clay and hardwood. I had a stockpile of materials and sold about 500k worth. Not a bad way to make money. Paid off my house and another incline.
