While i couldnt play Kunitsu Gami due to being a broke ass, i started Wild Hearts which is also appropriate to the theme i think. Glad to see everyone enjoying Kunitsu-Gami though!
How did you feel about the first level with multiple entry points for the Seeth?
I handled it well but I was STRESSED when I saw what I was dealing with. I also missed a defilement spot I had to look up and faced palmed cause it was right in front of me and I just didn’t get close enough to repair whatever it was blocking it. So I had to do an extra day with Yoshiro standing right in front of the last gate and I was like “this is the dumbest fucking decision I ever made.” But I survived! She barely got damaged surprisingly lmao.
Question for the club members.
Are we okay with continuing to play Kunitsu-gami instead of voting for another game? We usually start a new game by the 15th of the month but I’m having a lot of fun playing this one and haven’t finished it yet.
I’m excited to keep the conversation going, so if you want to extend it, no complaints from me.
I’ve been slacking about discussing the game, mostly because I’ve been focusing on playing it. The further I progress, the more lazy I get because I just want to play play play. I’m enjoying the challenge objectives not being ridiculously difficult. Like if you strategize correctly, you basically get it on the first try.
There are a few that can be a real challenge, especially —> don’t click unless you want to know something that isn’t revealed until end of game —> during the new game+ when additional more difficult challenges are introduced.
Moegi Ridge
The bonus challenges on this one made me groan but I managed to get the two I was most worried about in one go, which was not letting Soh or Yoshiro take damage. I would’ve gotten the rationless one as well but I forgot and healed somebody halfway through so this area is getting at least one more run out of me before I move on to the boss.
Also look what I found…
A little late but I definitely need more time. Mostly because I’ve been focusing on finishing Cyberpunk.
Alright, I desperately need some help. How do you get to kamaitachi? I have 4 archers but by the time they’ve all been killed, it’s only at half life and I have no way to knock it out of the sky.
Okay, I did it but that took a lot. Time to go back and redo some old levels and get some upgrades before moving on.
I think where I’m at, both my Woodcutters and Archers are maxed out. It’s pretty rare that they die for me. For Kamaitachi, I had them focus solely on the boss and I took care of the minions myself.
I have come up with a new strat, which is to place Kochin’s Ward directly in front of a Torii Gate so each enemy that spawns gets annihilated immediately. I also learned if you pet the animals 20 times, you get an achievement. So give all the animals your love.
Batsu was the first boss to kill Yoshiro. I will never forgive them. Not sure how I’ll manage defeating them in less than a minute so gonna do some research on that before I give it another try. I did pretty horribly both times I fought them. Once you defeat Batsu, you unlock the ability to level up Soh! How fun. I immediately ignored him and leveled up my minions instead. First come, first serve hahaha.
What if I told you the key to beating Batsu quickly is assigning additional skills to Soh rather than the villagers. Batsu traps the villagers so they’re often less useful during that fight. Don’t spread your points among different villager roles, concentrate on one useful role and upgrade Soh instead. They have an upgrade that gives them additional charms, and you can have three specials all charged up for the fight. Using the ones that do massive damage up-front allows Soh to quickly dispatch Batsu. So points are better spent on them rather than the villager.
Also, a key general strategy is to reallocate points to your villagers per level so you can reserve points for Soh. Always be redistributing based on which units you need and reset any villager roles you’re not assigning to zero to reclaim points for others.
I will have to start doing that then even though it doesn’t make my brain go brrr as much. I thought I could get away with not doing that at all.
Eventually, yes you can. But early on there are not enough points and every level requires different strategies so you need to move points around. Think of points as less of a permanent upgrade and more of a resource to manage.
I’m going to try the run again with all archers to see if that helps with keeping distance from him but if I can’t find a decent strategy, then I’ll have to be more flexible in my leveling…
Are you maxing the archers out?
Yeah. They’re already maxed.
Alright. I tried so many different strats and kept failing, though got pretty close to getting under a minute but I caved and nuked my Thief’s points, gave them to Soh and bingo, won immediately lmao.
