At that point I would suggest Dragon’s Dogma 2 because there are high quality FMV sequences of meat being cooked over an open fire, or Monster Hunter World because of the feasts that the Palico chefs prepare.
I feel like there is a point where we would just be casting the net too wide.
Hmm okay. Cancel Harvest Moon then. How about Cooking Companions? It’s a visual novel with a focus on cooking, among other things. It’s short but it is choice-based with multiple endings. I’ve gotten one of the endings so far but haven’t revisited it yet to get the others. Discussing the different routes could be fun. :))
Ultimately you’re the boss, you call the shots. But I guess if something has a good mix of cooking and growing/harvesting, why not? I was just joking around with @Ureshi based in the idea of a game which just has really nice images of food in it (which could be a lot of JRPGs ).
The game club is a team effort. I’m just here to help coordinate. :))
I definitely can see the whole net being cast too wide thing. I don’t really mind either way but if we want something cooking/food focused as opposed to just a feature among many others in a title, I’m okay with that too. If anything, both Harvest Moon and Cooking Companions could be my choices. :))
I love both of those games but I think most of them would need to be emulated at this point? Cooking Mama might be hard to emulate since it features touch and motion controls.
Harvestella has the strangest cooking system. I’d go as far as saying it’s not cooking, because you’re just sticking ingredients in a processing machine and it spit out things like juice. Although I did like the game, I really wish it had a bit more pizazz to its farming and crafting.
I said both of these would be my choices because I already forgot I said one title per person so I’m gonna go with Cooking Companions. I may/may not have undiagnosed ADHD.
