Good on him. I’d love to see these return. Screw the greedy studios and their shenanigans.
It’s so cool this is now playable in the Master Chief Collection.
YouTube copyright strike ruining the encore at the end.
Never give up, also there are now two ultra fast blue game characters. Take that Sonic!
I have no idea about the game this is from, but I watched this to the end for unknown reasons. Worth it.
ive been getting recommended this for a while on youtube. ill finally check it out this weekend
proud of blue dog.
i have a memory of that glitch occurring to me! At first I questioned if my memory was lying to me, but then later when they discover it is one in about a thousand, I don’t find it that surprising. i played a lot of Majora’s Mask as a child.
It is good to see old Macromedia games being preserved. I would love to see some of them again. They made hundreds of children’s and educational games using Flash and Director and they need a complete redo to run on modern systems, but they represent a very German approach to educating children and “children’s first video games” that is vastly different to games from other countries and so many grew up with them.
What is rarely mentioned when discussing game preservation are the various game localisations that are in DRM hell because they are often not owned by the same people as the source code.
Early on in my gaming career, I owned a German version of You Don’t Know Jack and it was amazing. I can now download that game and play it in English (it makes no sense because I don’t know the answers to the English questions about famous people for example or can’t understand English wordplay), but the German localisation is gone. The same goes for music in games. Some games could easily be still sold or preserved if the rights to the music in them weren’t owned by someone other than the source code.
If game developers cut corners to get the rights to localisations and music today, they’ll be harming preservation tomorrow, and I think that’s still happening unfortunatley.
