This … made me sad. I never liked the Ice Age movies much, but I loved the little parts with him and his acorn:
Starts with philosophy and conspiracies and ends with hope. It gave me also food for thought related to current RL events.
Although it’s mostly academic now, I still find the whole disastrous launch of the Xbone morbidly fascinating. This is a great video on the subject that popped into my feed.
How is this over two hours long?
YouTube documentarians really need to start studying the craft of constructing a succinct argument and presenting it within a reasonable run time.
i find him very calming and could listen to him talk for ten times the time.
the video doesnt even come to a “necessary” or “new” conclusion, i just like his straight forward coverage with insightful asides.
his visuals are also unnecessary in my opinion. i think of it more as a podcast on a topic i’m interested in.
i’m just saying don’t worry about that length.
how bad is this gunna make me feel?
Really Bad.

One of my biggest issues when going through uni was that I was able to make my points in like 500-1000 words, rather than the 2000+ they wanted for essays. Even with the SEGA book now, I’m editing it and thinking “should I have more detail?”

An interesting video on how the Sony PSX boot sound is stored in the bios and constructed on startup.
Bonus: the information is presented in under two hours!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what one of the saner politicians looks like
When I read of the two Russian tankers breaking, I immediately had to think of this. Such a classic.
That cracks me up every single time I watch it.
“Some of them are built so the front doesn’t fall off at all.”
Utterly brilliant.
