Oh, you must be one of those people that think Coldplay is talented.
I don’t like Radiohead either.
I don’t like Coldplay, but I’ve recently admitted to myself their first few albums were fine.
Anyone else ever listen to an album they absolutely loved like 10+ years ago and then you randomly think about it, put it on again and it’s even BETTER than you remember it being?
Yes. And this album’s a great example!!
Chaser by Femtanyl, one of the albums I bought as part of Bandcamp Friday today.
Harder than you think!
Ok, this isn’t music but since it’s a traditional podcast and not a video, I’m linking the latest episode of the Panic Podcast here. This episode features a conversation with Sam Barlow (Telling Lies, Immorality) and Claire L. Evans (Blippo+) talking about FMV games.
dude i was high playing this a few weeks ago having the time of my life.
Friday was a bonko day for millennial music enjoyers.
I’m still processing my thoughts on the new Mitski. Her new album is staying away from the alt pop that put her on the map. The Land is Inhospitable And So Are We also walked away from that genre and while I initially was mixed on that album, it has become one of my favorites. For now, I recommend I’ll Change For You if you’re looking for a good cry sesh.
There is something I love about art where someone has fully metastisized their pain and are on the “other side”. The Gorillaz’ The Mountain gingerly walks through death and loss in a way that let’s the listener know the experience was difficult but not insurmountable. The Moon Cave is also an all-timer Gorillaz track.
I think it’s really important we all stop what we are doing to dance to the Metal Man theme now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQXA9RkC_-c
