Museum of Art

Is that a long play of the game? It looks interesting.

Not sure if this Patreon post reveals who the artist of the clay models were or not but this is the most I could find beyond they were used in promotional images by Square Enix.

I would love to know the artist who did this portrait of Morrigan for Dragon Age: Origins. I thought maybe it was Jason Chan but I can’t confirm it.

I remember seeing this a while ago but didn’t realise it was out. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I believe that’s the whole thing

Creative uncut says its concept art and the page indicates that the artist information is included in the download. I see there’s a confirmed Jason Chan illustration on the page so maybe the info’s in there (if it’s not where you got it to begin with).

I did get it from there hahaha. They do have a few of Jason Chan’s work in there but the image itself is not labeled that he was the artist behind it. I think the original image name was just “morrigan concept art” or something similar. I probably just need to get my hands on a concept art book or something. Reverse searching isn’t giving me much results.

A little showcase of the artist and her art.

Same. I had no luck.

This post attributes a variant of that Morrigan piece to Casper Konefal, but it’s lumped in with multiple other works so who knows whether the attribution is correct. Looks like they did a bunch of concept work for DA Inquisition as well, apparently Dorian had a pet monkey at one point?

And while we’re on Dragon Age, here’s a nifty embroidered version of Sera’s tarot card from Inquisition, by hattedhedgehog.

I’ve got both World of Thedas books which has a lot of art in it. When I get home (currently living at the in-laws as there is work being done on our house) I can check if you like. Will be a few days though.

I know for sure that post is at least slightly inaccurate because this piece was done by Jason Chan.

Thank you thank you.

By the end of this, y’all can put private investigators on your resumes hahaha.

The design is different but they are close enough that the other one could be by Chen. But it’s hard to say for certain.

Concept art done for Apollyon in Ubisoft’s For Honor, artist: Remko Troost

I wish characters like this would have existed when I was younger, instead of damsel in distress only.

I love this Reddit sub so much: https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredwomen/

I miss all the niche communities on Reddit. Pretty sure I’m subscribed to that one. Hoping more of them pop up on Lemmy.

I have canceled my account on Reddit and basically never use mine on Lemmy, I only lurk on Reddit to look at the artwork. What I can say is that more and more artists on there have a bluesky link, which is great!

I don’t use social media much besides Grouvee but BlueSky has been so nice to use compared to Twitter.

Armored women rule! Lately in the US it feels like we’re backsliding on gender stuff, but it’s true there’s still way less damseling in art than there used to be.

Mony Pich does probably my favorite armor design lately, all discordant and angular.

And I’ve gotta include a trans pride Samus from Chloé Stawski of course! Samus is just trans, I don’t make the rules.
