I enjoyed Superman Saves His Dog. There is something so nice about a comic book movie feeling like a comic book. Excited to see what else comes from this revamped DC.
btw if you’ve seen it, I think Nicholas Hoult based his Lex Luthor off of Ben Shapiro. Let me know if that clicks for you as it did for me.
I don’t know anything about Shapiro, but I definitely felt like they were doing a not-too-subtle riff on Musk.
The Zelda movie, a co-production between Nintendo and Sony Pictures, will be released in theaters on May 7, 2027. It’s being directed by Wes Ball, who made The Maze Runner and last year’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes .
the boy is good in bly manor although he doesnt have to give a particularly difficult performance (Possessed so he’s distant and weird!). I wonder how silent they’ll make him…
I’m less worried about the actors than I am the director.
yea that choice doesn’t inspire confidence. at least he seems to have a passion for the project. there are bigger directors who would be more exciting but probably less comfortable with the control Nintendo wants to hold over their projects.
That being said, Guillermo Del Toro’s Luigi’s Mansion when?
I don’t even think “big” director is the way to go. I just don’t have confidence in Wes Ball.
Honestly, give it to Joe Swanberg and let him give us a mumblecore Zelda masterpiece
Joe Swanberg can do the eventual Animal Crossing TV show
Love that for him.
I know it’s almost a month since it released, but if people haven’t watched KPop Demon Hunter this is your random reminder that it’s great!
A washed up alcoholic, regular old human played by Karl Urban is pulled into the fight along side Supes to fight against evil Supes: The Boys meets Mortal Kombat, this October.
i think i’m watching this with the kids tomorrow night. i have only been hearing good things. i’m assuming that recommendation stands for those of us who only know Lisa from White Lotus?
You don’t need to be a kpop fan or know anyone else in Black Pink, or even know any K-pop bands at all. The movie is just a ton of fun!
I’m happy to report The Big Lebowski is still a perfect movie. Unequivocally love (almost) all of the Coen Bros work—the second best Bros, right behind a certain pair of moustachioed plumbers.
Talking about 89s horror with @Roach and @BMO had me thinking of Wishmaster. I absolutely love the voice Andrew Divoff uses.
What a face. Should I add this one to the list too?
They are kinda cheesy, but in that great 80s way, so I’d say “yes” if you enjoy that. There are three or four films, but Andrew Divoff is only in the first two, which are the only ones I’ve seen.
