[MBLC] May 2015

I hope you all had a great time playing your April pick(s)! But it’s that time again, to think about what you’ll be playing in the next month!

You all know the drill by now. Just pick a game or two you’re planning to play this month and post them here. If you change your mind, no problem! Just update us with your new picks! And don’t forget to share your progress.

Happy gaming!

Nothing new or exciting from me. I’m going to keep chugging along with Bloodborne. I swear I’m going to finish it this month

I was going to pick GTAV for this month, I’d really like to do the whole single player story line. But, unfortunately a few days ago I thoroughly messed up my wrist. I was hoping a couple days would make it get better, but its only getting worse. So it’s going to put a bit of a damper on my game playing.

Anyone have any suggestions for games that can be played with only a mouse? The only obvious thing that comes to mind are point and click games, and I’m not really feeling one of those right now. I may just end up having to entertain myself with visual novels.

And good luck with Bloodborne Dragon Age 3, Peter! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’ve been trying to complete 5 games a month this year. Not sure I will be able to with the ones I have picked for May.

This month I want to finish Wolfenstein: TheNew Order and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Then I want to beat Shovel Knight, Olli Olli 2 and Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae. I was thinking I would play Final Fantasy Type-0 HD too, but that seems totally unrealistic to include at this point.

This thread might help for mouse only games:

My goals for this month include beating Super Meat Boy with 100% completion on three stages (I’m being realistic). I want to dedicate some serious time to Mega Man 5, try out Final Fight 2 and Braid. Hopefully I’ll pick up Mega Man 3 and beat the regular level bosses.

Well those should keep me busy for awhile. Some other games I want to experiment with are Shovel Knight, White Night and Year Walk.

Star Ocean First Departure for PSP! I loved 2 on PSX way back when.

Woohoo! I haven’t played games in a while due to being too busy with work, but I beat Bioshock Infinite last weekend!
Nice story, atmospheric game, maybe a bit repetitive. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

I’ve started with Mario & Luigi: Dream team on my flight to and from Amsterdam, but maaaaan… that game is soooo slow. It hasn’t clicked yet. I really have to put myself to playing it.

Last but not least I’ve started playing Dungeon Defenders while staying at a friend. I think it came with XBL Games with Gold. We didn’t think much of it, but it was the only local co-op game that we have and hadn’t played yet.
It is a super nice mix of tower defense and an action game, great to play together on the couch. Surprisingly fun!

3 games in a single month. Crazy!

I actually finished a game! I took Bloodborne down last night after 40 hours over about 3 months. I think I might move on to working on the site more, and getting in some Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

I played through Sunset -

It’s has an absolutely awesome premise and story. You wouldn’t think playing a house keeper would be interesting, but it is!

It’s also not too long, I’d say 4-6 hours depending on how thorough you are.

This month I finished Final Fantasy 1 anniversary edition on the PSP.

Twas a slow crawl.

Well I beat one of the five games I wanted to for the month. I finished Shovel Knight on my Vita:

I also played Pix the Cat. It is a puzzle game, so I am not sure you can beat it. I played it for a few hours, but the controls are not precise enough to be fun.

There were a couple other games that were not on my life for the month that I fit in. I finally played Gone Home and thought it was awesome.

And I also beat The Unfinished Swan on PS4. There were a few control issues, but overall it was a great experience.

How was Shovel Knight on the Vita? Does it play pretty well?

I haven’t played it on other platforms to compare, but I thought it played excellently on the Vita. I had no problems with the controls. They were tight and responsive. I loved the game overall. It brings the feel of a lot of classic games, but still feels modern. It hit all the right notes for me.
