FFXIV x FFXI collab event has returned for those who missed it before.
I’m subbed again because I caved in and bought FFXIV for the Switch 2! should be subbed for a couple months here at least between the free launch month and the one for purchasing. I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should dip my toes into Dawntrail yet or keep on leveling some jobs.

How’s it been? It seems like the general reception ranges from negative to lukewarm from what I’ve seen.
Also, @Jace , I don’t think I added you. I’m in Diabolos, in the Crystal data center, so if you’re interested in being friends in game we’ll have to organize a time to get together because the friend system is obtuse, lol.

I like it. The latter half is weaker than the former but it isn’t bad. It’s no Shadowbringers or Endwalker but I wasn’t ever expecting it to be.

I didn’t play for a while (a lot happened this year!!) and had to let my subscription lapse. But next time I reactivate it I’ll for sure get in touch and add you!

I’ve recently come back to the game in preparation for Evercold. It’s nice to be back after taking a long break, and I’m cautiously optimistic about the changes coming to the game with the next expansion. I think it’s impossible for the game to ever capture the feeling Heavensward managed in regards to it’s class and encounter design, but it looks like Yoshi-P is willing to shake things up a bit with Evercold. Currently working on the slow process of getting the Phantom weapon for my Gunbreaker and getting my crafters and gatherers to 100.

With this I now have relics for my Botanist and Miner (I should be in bed 20 minutes ago). Next up are my crafters. Thankfully, the process gets shorter with each relic I obtain so it should be relatively quick. This will also be my first time going into the next expansion as ready as possible as far as my DoL/H classes are concerned so I can hopefully make some decent money once I get through MSQ. I do plan on doing fishing as well but that will be saved for the very last as I hear fishing is practically an entirely different game. I haven’t touched fishing since Heavensward so I’m KINDA looking forward to it.
Other than that, I finally finished my Aetherwell step for my phantom weapon and I’m on the Crystal Paste step. After doing some quick math, it seems I have to do 60 leveling roulettes to finish it, which averages to around 15-17 hours of just leveling roulettes. I haven’t done a relic weapon since Heavensward either and its KINDA fun in the weird grindy brain scratching sort of way if you know what I mean… at least it’s letting me level up my white mage.

Finally, I have completed my Gunbreaker relic. Or Phantom Weapon, as they’re called this time around. Goodness it’s kind of hideous but I love it. With this, I’ve more or less completed most of the goals I set out for myself when returning. All that’s left is to finish up all the DoH relics and get into the dreaded fishing. Managed to find a nice enough static to do the current ultimate with during weekends but I’m pretty much “done” until Evercold I’d say. I’ll likely casually do roulettes now and then for tomestones in order to get WHM relic and dabble a bit in the Beastmaster content coming out this Tuesday.
