I for one am quite happy with the phased delivery because it means, if nothing else, we can get what’s ready now and there’s more time to polish the rest

Having spent a little time on the Animal Crossing Subreddit, I can safely say that the time traveling community (or “cheaters” as I would call them) are up in arms because they want to be able to unlock everything right away and not have to wait for anything. They come across as whiny children with an entitlement complex. I get that people want some confirmation that specific stuff is or isn’t coming, but to be honest this is only affecting early adopters, and not even for very long, and they’ve already said things will be added. Stuff is coming and it’s coming fast. I’m willing to just let it happen and get excited at each new thing. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on stuff because the whole point of AC is that it’s not a rush to the finish line. If everything in New Leaf could be unlocked in 3 weeks it would seriously damage the whole slow paced nature of the game just to satisfy those who want instant gratification.

That was part of my point. I don’t want everything at once. I want to know that it still exists. That’s it. It’s never been about accessing everything at once or rushing it, because I played each version for years. I was patient with New Leaf and every iteration before it, and I’d be patient with this. But this is the first time it’s been like, “Who knows if these characters/businesses will return!” They already replaced Chip, Nat, and Joan. Which, based on the limited “story” or lore that’s been addressed, seems reasonable since NH seems to take place after NL, and Joan’s probably 234945 years old now. I don’t see them totally removing any major aspects, but still.
But yes, the cheaters are whiny children, and no, they shouldn’t be able to get everything at once. It’s always been doable, so the fact that they can’t now is one benefit from this.

I’m right there with ya, @Octjillery. I’m looking forward to all the future events and stuff, but it really does feel bad not knowing if a feature is returning or if an issue will be addressed in a future patch.
I only got New Leaf shortly before the Welcome amiibo update, and hadn’t played any AC game between that and the one on Game Cube. I’m okay with and actually enjoy not knowing what I can unlock or how, it’s the feeling of not knowing if there even is/will be a thing to unlock that sucks.
And yeah, no sympathy from me for the time travellers who only want to spoil it for everyone, but it still holds that data miners gonna mine. It’s not perfect, they can’t completely hide everything… Dataminers already revealed the possibility of Redd before Nintendo ever made today’s announcement. I really dislike fan speculation or theory videos and it bothered the hell out of me to keep seeing them in my recommended YT feed spoiling shit for me.

This is only the second week that I’ve bought them. I wasn’t able to play early enough to buy them before ol’ sniffles left at noon on the Sundays before.
Last week, I ended up selling in my boyfriend’s town. I bought for 93 and sold for…130 each, I think? Not the best, and they ended up being like 200 in my town the next day, but it was last minute. Made about 230k in profits.
Bought this week for 92, haven’t sold yet. I haven’t checked my boyfriend’s prices, though.

I went to an island to sell mine. It was selling for around 500 a turnip, and I sold all I could carry. That leaves me with about a third left to sell. I tried another island today that was at 330, but it dropped under 200 at noon and I managed to get in just after 12PM. On the bright side the island was selling lily seeds, so I have a new flower.
Was hoping to see a spike in my prices this week, but I am on a steady downward slope from 103 at purchase to 69 this afternoon. They are closed tomorrow so I’ll see what prices look like on Friday.

We’ll see what happens tomorrow, but if there’s a need to trade seeds I have tulips and pansies as my two main flowers and windflowers and hyacinths regularly show up in stores as well.

Leif brought me rose and mum seeds. Pink and white azaleas, orange and yellow tea olives. Still no cosmos for me, either.

Busy week on Isla Lunta. Shop was upgraded Wednesday, update Thursday, and museum is being upgraded today! I got olive and azalea bushes from Leif. I think I have cosmos somewhere but will have to check. I have two Islands so I forget which things are on which Island

I’m willing to set something up on my island, a seed swap or something similar, if people want to give it a go. Just need to decide on a time. And maybe we can put together a list of people’s requests so that everyone can get what they need.
