Decided to create a Twitter account for New Horizons posts. So I’ll post everything Animal Crossing related there but continue to post highlights on Grouvee.
The egg event is becoming too much for me. I know it spans several days but just how many bunny day DIY recipes are there?! It’s making me anxious to miss a balloon, and they just keep on coming.
Haha, I’ve only had to make a new slingshot like twice since the game came out. It broke three times yesterday with all of the balloons I shot down. It’s nuts.
Dang dang very cool. I’ll start posting my designs there. Here are my two new pieces. My first is next to nothing- Kanye’s hoodie from his Jesus is King Jimmy Kimmel interview.
This is my first time messing with the stalk market this week. I bought my turnips for 106 I think. Earlier this week, they were up to around 155 I think. I thought, let’s gamble and see where they go. They’re at 39 today. I’m about that good at the real stock market too!
I’m not doing badly. My first lot of turnips were 93 and I sold at 133, and my second lot were 97 and I sold at 141. Considering my performance in previous games this is an amazing profit
Today Kk Slider agreed to come to my island for a concert! And my favourite new leaf resident finally agreed to move in! I’m sure in previous games randoms were hard to convince and Amiibo were shoo-ins. Apparently now even Amiibo scans need 3 days of convincing!
I wish I could. He’s my first camper, so I can’t access Amiibo yet, and I don’t have any villager Amiibo I can use, only non-villagers like Isabelle.
Update: I don’t think he’ll leave and everything I’ve read says he won’t. Because he’s the camper that’s part of the quest to invite your first camper, I seem to be stuck with him.
Well, I have a huge number of residents, KK Slider has taken up residence as regular entertainer and I have construction unlocked. Now onto the rest of life on Isla Lunta!
I brought him in so now I’ll work on recruiting the villagers I really want (hopefully).
I’m reading mixed things about getting villagers to leave. While some sites say ignoring them and complaints work, several others say none of those things work. Not sure what to think.
Seconding what lunt said: it’s never been totally clear. I feel like they left a lot sooner in Wild World. That was when I first had my boi Filbert, and I played every night to make sure he stayed. The ONE night I didn’t have time to play before bed was the night he would have told me he was leaving, and he was gone the next day. I deleted my town of like a year’s progress and spent hours resetting it until I had him again… Haha.
As far as Horizons goes, my boyfriend didn’t like Rocco the hippo. He sent a letter to him telling him to eat shit, hit him with the net for two days, and complained to Isabelle three times. As far as I know, the complaining, as in previous games, just resets their clothing and catch-phrase to their original ones. I don’t know that it really works for getting them to leave. I think not talking to them often and maybe net abuse/shoving them does, but even a series vet like me isn’t positive.
Rocco ended up moving to my island since we had played together. Then he told me he was leaving two days later?? I wasn’t mean to him, and I didn’t even have a full town yet–which has always been one of the requirements for someone to move, as far as I recall. I’m not sad about it, but that kind of threw what I thought I knew out the window.
