I enjoy that you coincidentally submitted a photo of Chickie-Chick on the seventh and the seventeenth.

Also alternative title for the second submission:

It’s there now. It came between a few other messages and I missed it because the notification badge gets cleared even though I hand’t actually clicked on your message. Apologies.

The highlighted words/letters are colour-coded to distinguish all the associating rhyming sounds and consonants throughout the passage. I want the story to have a particular lyrical kinda cadence throughout, so sometimes when revising I’ll do this to measure that the words are all fitting in the rhythm of the prose without sentences running too long or an awkward change of pacing or the like.

Thank you for asking. I doubt its the sort of thing anyone reading would notice, and I’m not even sure if it makes any sense when I try to explain my methodology. But it’s been helpful in trying to find my style.

I got one of my rolls of film back so I’ll have a new submission for one of our previous days once I make a choice on my favourite shot.

I can’t imagine those invisible mom movies are good but I feel like I too would definitely hang onto them for the novelty alone.

A few years back I found a copy of The Ring on video cassette at a flea market and couldn’t help but pick it up despite not having a VCR anymore.

That’s exactly where I found all of these! Growing up I spent a lot of time at Bankstown Markets helping out my Grandpop. When I took a break from helping run the stall my ‘pop would give me ten bucks and I’d walk around and find some weird stuff like this burgeoning collection of mom-centric filmmaking. I don’t know why at least two of them are about moms being invisible; I don’t even know if there is a tangible connection or if “mom what has been turned invisible” is like a sub-genre of thing and these are just the two examples I have.

I bet Electric Grandmother is pretty good though; on the strength of the title and the box art alone it’s a winner. I love VHS tapes and have a decent little collection. I really want to get a CRT again to watch them… I feel like these are expensive nowadays, though!

The street one from yesterday is 100% a submerged rock elemental. it’s the kinda thing you sit on in a book, and suddenly are 20 ft in the air.
