When they show up I prioritize killing them. They generally only come through the main gate and if you used Soh’s charged attacks and dance combos or Tsuba Guards you can take them out quickly. The shokera is a pain because I had to basically spend several nights just baiting them for an optional objective, which meant fighting five or six of them. It was honestly the optional objective I found the hardest.

Okay, after beating Muenzuka and Bopposo, I think I might need to step away in between levels and play a more relaxing game.

Bopposo is dead simple. Make sure you enable the invincibility shrine, and bring three massive damage Tsubasa Guards. Unleash one of the Tsubasa Guards and stagger him. If he stands back up, use another. You’ll do enough damage in seconds that he’ll run to the tree for phase two. Activate the shrine and wail on him until he is dead. I think you can take him down in lass than 30 seconds.

I’m working on the bonus objectives for this one before moving on. Struggling with getting the dispel 10 enchantments at once one. I think my dudes are too strong so gonna try to do this by nerfing their stats or only having a few melee roles assigned until I can get it.

THERES AN INVINCIBILITY BATH???

Gah!!! I fought that fight at least 20 times before I won and never noticed that once!!!

It needs to be unlocked in Soh’s skill tree, but once you do you can use it once a level in most levels.

Yeah I have it. I didn’t even look for it because I thought it wasn’t on boss levels. Oh that would have made stage 2 a completely different experience.

A key way to do it is not to bring the shaman (I think it’s shaman) that cleanses enchantments as well as avoid archers then let the enchantments accumulate on the seethe and then let them gather near the drum. One drum smack should cleanse them all.

I can’t remember if they are available in earlier boss stages but you’ll need it for at least a couple later bosses, especially for some optional objectives.

I tried a run with all woodcutters as far away from the torii gates as possible to give the monsters times to get in the taiko circle but my woodcutters are too powerful as they are now so they would kill them in one hit before 10 could enter the ring.

Time to begin the next game nominations!

The topic will be the Nintendo Switch Library in honor (or dishonor) of the Nintendo Switch 2. You may suggest up to two games that have been released on the Nintendo Switch. These games do not have to be exclusive to the console and you may even play them on other platforms if that’s what you prefer.

We will close the nominations on Friday, April 11th.

I’m scrolling through my Switch library and personally I’m feeling inclined to choose games that are unlikely to be re-released with a Switch 2 edition. Based on that and just wanting to spend some much more time with these games, my choices be:

  • Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon for a heartfelt and intimate storybook adventure that is sure to make all the homies cry! Interested to play with Ōkami 2 on the horizon
  • Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl — Gold for light-hearted, goofy action-RPG dungeon delving (that we can battle through together online)! Also interested to play with Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time out soon too.

Looking forward to seeing what others put forward!

I’m going with released on Switch but also available elsewhere for those who need some flexibility:

  • Kentucky Route Zero
  • Return of the Obra Dinn

I spared you Hollow Knight @Roach

I do not own a Switch but if PC is ok as long as the game is on Switch, these might count. Also these are slow games that are not too demanding on my hands.

Garden Story - was free on EPIC, not sure if worth full price, but it seems it’s the same one for Steam and the EU Nintendo store. After being on a killing spree in BG3 (the egg is save with Lae’zel now, but a godess hates me and my group wades through blood on their way to the underworld, Astarion is happy though) I need something more wholesome for inbetween and to play on the balcony on my old laptop, now that the weather allows to sit outside more often.

A Space For The Unbound- A magical adventure about two high school sweethearts set at the end of their school days - and the end of the world. Explore a crumbling town and help friends face their inner demons, which could be the key to stopping reality itself disintegrating. And don’t forget to pet the cats.

I don’t know why I own this on Steam, but I do and you can pet the cats, what else do you need to play this? Also high school and looming doom are a great fit, right? :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I also like the music and art style.

Both of these games are games I’ve been meaning to play so you might get my vote!

A Space for the Unbound has been on my wishlist since before it released and then it did and I bought it but haven’t got to it but I’m so excited to play it. You will definitely be getting a vote…

I think my two games are going to be:

  • Super Mario Bros. 2
One of the games on my retro goals shelf I haven’t got around to playing yet.

  • VOEZ
A rhythm game with a bunch of songs. I’ve just started it up recently but haven’t progressed much. I think it’d be fun to share high scores and try to get through the campaign together.

Roach’s post on the main site caught my eye and I hope to join the discussion next game! Really hope it ends up being A Space For the Unbound, this would be the nudge I need to stop just playing more Picross and pop an actual game cartridge into my system.

I’ve been playing soooo much Picross recently lmao.

EDIT: Once my shift ends, I’ll be making the final poll so get your last minute suggestions in now if you haven’t already.
