I’ve stopped looking at this thread because I don’t need more things in my life to get mad at really. I didn’t build grouvee to just be another place to create more division in the world.
I’m not trying to start any shit really, but I didn’t find it funny either. You realize most, if not all, of the Americans on this site, including myself, are probably not big Trump fans. We’re not “the stupid ones” you’re referring to. We’re still Americans though. I don’t think you’re going to make a lot of friends by making “jokes” that we’re all a bunch of dumbshits.

Born and raised in America, and having lived in multiple states in completely different regions, each state feels like a completely different country with their own customs, accents, culture, immigrants, and laws. The majority of Americans can vote against fascism and will still lose due to how rigged and obtuse our systems are. Every year, I have to check to make sure I can vote even though I’ve been registered since I turned 18 because each year they want to oppress as many people as possible because the Nazis know that they would lose the popular vote.
It is absolutely ridiculous to claim “don’t just lump all our countries into one ideology” and in the same breath, do just that. “Rules for thee and not for me” rhetoric and blanketing the condescension with memes doesn’t change the hypocrisy.
I have to go to work with a departmental lead that is subscribed to the fascist movement and play nice with her while she says with her full fucking chest FEARLESSLY that gender confused people are demon spawn and the mark of the end times, that women can’t have leadership positions because they’re vindictive, and bitches and moans if a customer comes in with an accent (usually non-white) and complains about how they need to learn “the language”. This woman claims to be a descendant of those who fought against the Nazis in WWII!!
You don’t have to live here in fear. We do. And we’re doing everything we can to fight against them.

Yeah, I’ve been a bit of a wanker. I meant it as a bit of humour but I understand on reflection it was just stupid. I sincerely apologise for the offence. I’ll endeavour to be more respectful and think before I post.

Microsoft reverses its decision to allow Israel to use its cloud tech for surveillance.
Microsoft has terminated the Israeli military’s access to technology it used to operate a powerful surveillance system that collected millions of Palestinian civilian phone calls made each day in Gaza and the West Bank, the Guardian can reveal.
Microsoft told Israeli officials late last week that Unit 8200, the military’s elite spy agency, had violated the company’s terms of service by storing the vast trove of surveillance data in its Azure cloud platform, sources familiar with the situation said.
The decision to cut off Unit 8200’s ability to use some of its technology results directly from an investigation published by the Guardian last month. It revealed how Azure was being used to store and process the trove of Palestinian communications in a mass surveillance programme.
In a joint investigation with the Israeli-Palestinian publication +972 Magazine and the Hebrew-language outlet Local Call, the Guardian revealed how Microsoft and Unit 8200 had worked together on a plan to move large volumes of sensitive intelligence material into Azure.
