another one of these log-style format to document the most likely impossible task trials and tribulations of frying ( or trying to) fry an egg on top of mount Everest. i am dead serious.

Been a while, but just to confirm, yes, this is for real.
That aside, I think it’s best to start off with why anyone, even with the capability to do the task, would attempt such a feat. Climbing a mountain is one thing, but to cook an egg on top off it seems…random.
My main inspiration comes from the game Arctic Eggs (those of you who have played it know exactly what I am talking about) , where one of the characters beckons the words:
And from here my aspiration of doing such a task was born. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it silly? Also yes. Is the chances of such happening near-zero? Also probably yes. But to let an idea die in my opinion is a waste most of the time, and to see it to fruition, even if in failure has to be infinitely more rewarding than not trying at all, no?
Worst case scenario it makes for a good story.
In terms of the general roadmap. I am thinking something along the lines of:
-Get in a climbing/mountaineer ready physique
-Train to get good enough to even attempt at climbing mount everest
-Look at the logistics of the actual thing
-Try go and pull it off
-Take a cool picture if that fails or is successful
Of course, this doesn’t take into account other factors, such as the cost, research and time taken to go into such an endeavour. but this is just to give an idea.
As time progresses I will delve into more specific information, and naturally how it’s going so far. Just to disclose though, as summer is coming to an end, these logs will most likely be coming weekly, perhaps biweekly depending on how much I get wacked around by work, but more or less should be on a consistent basis.
I guess we’ll see as it passes. Hopefully this can serve as an inspiration to go after whatever ambition you may think is too far-fetched. After all, it can’t be worse than frying an egg on top of mount everest, right?
