I don’t love them and they basically just look like an existing Puma shoe rendered in new colourways and with a few added Sonic accents.

I remember seeing footage of Star Garden some time ago. Obvious comparisons to the chao gardens aside, I really dig the Space Channel 5 vibes it seems to be going for. (And Cool Cool Toon? For an even deeper Dreamcast cut, lol.) Something to keep an eye on at least.
That said, I still hold out hope for an actual return to form for the chao gardens. They were such a clever way to give the Sonic Adventure games a ton of replayability.

It absolutely boggles the mind why SEGA haven’t released an official Chao Garden. It’d be perfect as a mobile game, and a licence to print money.
With their (re) introduction in the Sonic 3 movie and the animations they did based around Chao it just seems like the perfect opportunity.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds early access has landed at “Overwhelmingly Positive”.
While I still won’t be paying £70 for it, I’m glad it’s off to a great start!
In other SEGA news the Panzer Dragoon II remake is still happening!
