Spin To Win: Yeb's Wheel

I have games. A lot of games. But I’ve also got a long break coming up thanks to finishing exams early. So why not combine the two, right? This forum is just me sharing my experiences using the wheel method to play through some of them.

If you’re wondering what the wheel method is: basically, I tossed all my games into a massive roulette wheel and decided to play whatever it lands on — then spin again and repeat.

If you’re curious about the full list (or want to see where I’m pulling these games from), you can check it out here — wheel included:
Google Sheet Link
Most of the games are on common platforms, but a few might require different sources — all of that’s noted in the sheet.

Anyone’s welcome to post here if they want, but for now, I won’t be adding much until summer officially starts. Exams come first. Once they’re out of the way, I’ll be back — and I’m looking forward to diving in. Maybe you’ll join me.

Do you use a physical wheel or a web one?

All the best for your exams! May concentration be on your side and may all the knowledge you need be always present and ready to use!

I use a web one, it can be found in the link to the list.

Ooooo I love this idea. There’s a Scottish book tuber I watch who does this for deciding what books to read.

I did something like this last year, and it worked fairly well. It does kind of take the take the weight of choice off of you. Found myself enjoying things more.

By the way, I’m glad someone else knows about this- I already use the wheel method, this time I’m just logging down my experiences, but good to know theres more wheel users out there.

Well, now that my exams are over, I can finally get this thing started which is great. Essentially how its going to work is that every day for a month, I will log my experiences with the game that I landed on from the wheel.Whether you want to contribute to the thing, give any reccomendations or queries from the logs or just watch, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Ok,due to severe procrastination and some somewhat major life events(prom if you count that lol) I haven’t exactly been up to date with things. However, to make up for it I will do FOUR (yes FOUR) logs tomorrow that you can look forward to.

Log 1:Risk of Rain 2
How do I take this much comfort in killing swathes of monsters? And should I be worried?Regardless, the comfort is great as usual, and there really is nothing better than rapidly bringing an alien population’s size to zero.
Log 2:Eternal Towers of Hell
Definitely one of those games where hard==fun for some unknown reason, but if it means 2 hours are spent suffering in real time for the small price of free, so be it.
Log 3:Block Tales
The combat is as smooth as butter and actually engaging, which is surprising considering this is a ROBLOX game, but really does show the potential the platform has in the right places, plus the story has you do that weird smile where you’re not openly laughing, but grinning alongside it. Great game.
Log 4:???
Well, as much as I hate to say it I grossly overestimated the amount of time I had, so I wasn’t (not to say I cant try to get one more spin in before I get to bed, but we’ll see) expecting myself not to reach log 4, but if I can’t, I’ll try slot another spin in tomorrow.

If so, cya tommorow and thanks for reading.

Well, as said here is log 5 (and log 6).

Log 5:Deadbolt
Stylish in execution, literally and figuratively. I wouldn’t say there’s a much cooler way of turning your adversaries into a fine crimson mess, and the backing tracks support that massively. Definitely going to return to this one.

On the other hand…
Log 6:The Noob Zone Towers
As much as I love a good power trip(and did for the first couple of minutes) ,it’s intentionally easy obstacles eventually got to me, and although I can appreciate it for at least becoming slightly difficult in it’s later towers, it just became fatiguing to continue playing without any sense of challenge. I can appreciate it for helping me realise that though.

Due to some sudden thoughts, I have decided to ‘cancel’ doing this 30 day whatever-it-is. As much as i loved the aspect of exploring all of these games within such a short time, I cant help but think that they would be better of experienced in their entirety, even if it means I play pess of them throughout this summer.

I am using the word ‘cancel’ very lightly here, but essentially I am still using the wheel method, but instead of it being for 2 hours every day it is instead for when I think the game is ‘beaten’ over whatever amount of time it takes. Hopefully this allows me to gain a much more richer experience with the stuff I play as well as giving me flexibility.

I will still mention the games spun as well as link them to the reviews done by me, but if they are not on the site itself I will probably do a review of them on this forum, as although I could add them chances are they are either too obscure or Roblox games (which I’m sure wouldn’t benefit anyone).

Regardless of that, I’m still glad I gave the thing a go, and whether you want to give the whole thing a try yourself or not, I at least hope that this “project” of mine was of some value to someone.
