@peter Any thoughts on Pacers vs. Knicks series?

Pacers in 6!

I have no idea honestly. I think it will be a very good series. We went 2-1 against the knicks this year, but they didn’t have OG in any of the games. They have 0 bench, and we have the best bench in the NBA. I hope we can just run them ragged. All I know is if TJ McConnell is scoring and destroying, we win.

That Pacers game last night was a dumb basketball game. That is all.

Missed last night’s games, but what happened with Knicks and Pacers?

Lots of poor calls at the end that heavily favored the Knicks. There was a kicked ball called on the Pacers when we stole the ball and were going to have a wide open fast break. It was not a kicked ball at all, but you can’t review those, so the Knicks got it back and hit a three. That was a five point swing. Then they called a moving screen on Myles Turner with 12 seconds left that even the Knicks fans were like, yeah, I’m glad we won, but not like that. I’ve seen it referred to as getting pulled over going 32 in a 30. It gave the ball backs to the Knicks up 2 and it sealed the game pretty much.

Not saying for sure the Pacers were going to win. They did lots of dumb stuff too. Nembhard had 2 dead ball fouls which were just ridiculous. Haliburton is practically a decoy now. Neither he or Siakam wanted the ball with 2 minutes left, and Brunson just picked us apart. Overall it was a great game, but the refs definitely ruined it.

One thing I find very funny about NBA fans if all the Lebron “lovers” and “haters”.

Both are equally unreasonable :joy:

Basketball is really easy if you just don’t miss any shots!

Well @peter , I can’t wait for the season to start. I have a good feeling about this Spurs roster and can see them making 10th-8th seed in the West. Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes were solid acquisitions, Stephon Castle was a perfect draft pick, and if we manage to get Lauri Markannen, we’re looking very good for 2024-2025.

How bout you? Didn’t keep up with the Pacers, but how do you feel about your draft picks and off-season acquisitions (if any)?

Yeah, Spurs are going to be good, and they have some really good draft capital to use in the coming years. I think the 8-10 seed is a good bet, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s a little better. The west is going to be impossible, but Wemby is just that good already. Chris Paul is definitely not the same as even a few years ago, but he’s going to be a monster on pick and roll with him. I like Barnes too. It’s not fair that they get to be awesome again

I’m happy with the Pacers off season. We didn’t do much. Kept Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin. I like Obi a lot, so I’m glad we kept him. I don’t know anything about college basketball, but this guy Furphy we drafted, people seem to like him. I don’t know if you saw the Pacers signed former 2020’s 2nd pick James Wiseman to a very minimally guaranteed contract. That’s a potentially decent upside for a very low risk. I think we can contend for a top 4 seed in the east again. Our offense is just so good, and if we get any kind of improvement on defense, we’re going to be good. A healthy Mathurin, and hopefully healthy Haliburton is going to go a long way if they can stay that way.

I hope the Bulls at least get to the second round of the NBA finals this year!
