I played Earthbound earlier this year; it’s one of the few RPGs I was able to get into somewhat

Also Costume Quest 1 and 2, which I just played for Halloween

I need to play all of those.

This reminds me of those rainbow scratch art kits.

Are Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street? I don’t get it. :sob:

It’s not funny.

Here’s some examples of work by the brilliant Aussie artist Norman Lindsay.

What’s not funny? I was asking a legitimate question.

EDIT: Unless that comment wasn’t directed at my question but to say the content of the comic was not funny, in which case that’s pretty rude.

It’s about archetypes, where Ernie and Bert are Queer archetypes, because the two have been taken up as Queer icons. So, in Queer couplings it’s about who is the Ernie and who is the Bert of the couple.

I appreciate you answering the question. I never watched Sesame Street so I only vaguely know who certain popular characters are. I watched the Elmo Show a few times but that’s the extent of my knowledge.

I blame this on the overwhelming lack of funding for public broadcasting in the US over the last couple decades.

Who’s the top/bottom/“man”/“woman.” My favorite question. :upside_down_face:

It’s not funny because it’s condescending.

I really can’t say anything anymore without you having a go, can I? How is it rude to say I don’t find something funny?

Honestly feeling more and more unwelcome on this site. Throw all the abuse at me you wish for that comment, but there it is. I’ve almost left several times, but I’ve wanted to support Peter, and it’s almost been 10 years since I joined the site so it’d be a shame.

Still, the feeling of having to walk on egg shells has increased exponentially over the last year or two. I’m sure you’ll throw back at me that I’m the problem, I’m a troll, etc, etc, and won’t think critically about anything I say here. However, it seems that more and more people have to fit a very spercific “type” to be accepted on this site.

I’ve never been a believer that virtue signaling was a thing, rather the people would just state what they believed. However, members of the community here are really starting to challenge that notion.

All I did was ask a question. My bad.

Yeah, sure.

Either way, you’ve got what you wanted. I’ll be moving my data elsewhere and no longer posting on the site.

Yes, they were from Sesame Street

Ernie was sort of the silly guy, and Bert was the more serious guy

They were roommates, and typically Bert would react to Ernie’s shenanigans
