Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is a beautiful representation of the midwest. John Candy understands this character and movie in a way that is rare. He knows when to play up the cartoon, and he knows when to share a human moment. He transitions between the two so effortlessly, you can’t predict when the movie will hit you with laughs or tears. This film also solidifies my feeling about John Hughes directed flicks*- your favorite is whichever one you saw most recently. The camera is so funny in this film which is uncommon now. So often the movie trusts for the cameraperson to deliver, and so often the cameraperson does. I love it. This might be an annual movie for me as I get older and seek holiday traditions.
*I haven’t seen the last two John Hughes directed flicks. But all the rest are bangers.
To-day we saw Wicked: For Good. Elphaba was in it, and she was Wicked…or was she ?
–This one presents the idea that she was a maligned witch, trying to get her sister’s shoes back. Like a fanfic
–It’s sad to see the deception of the Powers that Be [the Wizard and allies] and the all-too-realization that people like this will believe whatever confirms their biases. You might say Madame MORRIBLE is quite HORRIBLE ! : O I’d’ve liked to see Elphaba use more witch powers against the forces of oppression, but it seems it wasn’t really that kind of movie
–I was predicting that Elphaba would fake her own death, then run off with Glinda so they could make out together. With [SPOILER] too, of course
–Anyway, Dorothy’s gang is kind of like an RPG [the way she gathers a team of colorful characters, all united[?] against a common enemy]
I saw Wicked:For Good, but they should have called it Wicked:For Bad because woooo-eee that stunk. I liked the first one! What a shame. Good thing they’re gunna try to turn this thing into the next MCU.
yea im giving the new fantastic four a shot. i didnt really care for any marvel tv/movie since guardians 3 and havent even finished the last several ive started. so far it seems fine. i think im just marvel-ed out.
Just got back from Zootopia 2; that was pretty cool ! Animals were in it
– So the first one was predators vs. prey; this one is mammals vs. reptiles…probably Zootopia 3 will be mammals vs. BIRDS– There was a Nick in it too; he was quite a fox
– Also featured Clawhauser, Gazelle and a Prison Babe or two <3– Speaking of which, it’s kind of interesting how [in 1] two of their mayors in a row get arrested which is probably uncommon for the bourgeoisie–but I wonder what it would take to make a fair and equitable society for all of them
– And there were aquatic mammals [like dolphin, walrus, et. al]; I don’t remember seeing any in the first one although it has been a while. But, there is a whale in Sing !
Saw FNAF 2. Liked it more than the first. Had fun with it as a fan.
The voice roles for the animatronics were so disappointing. Freddy and Bonnie have been shafted for Megan Fox as Chica. Bonnie does NOT sound like MatPat and that hurt my soul.
Mike actually got to be a security guard in a FNaF movie.
The reference to the FNaF beat box had us losing it. Funniest part of any of these movies.
Funny that they did the power of friendship, but that ending was rushed. Michael Afton was just shoved in there at the climax. That makes Mike Schmidt break it off with Vanessa for some reason, and now she is posessed by Charolette.
