imagine making a whole film about misogyny with the message of ‘men are ass, but I’m not, because I made a movie about it! haha, see? I’m not like other men!’ where you point out sexism against women but instead of a positive message or advice to overcome it you slap a cynical horror message on it. Pitiful.
Honestly, the thing the offended me the most was the take down of the Green Man. What did he ever do to anyone?
So The Marvel’s is bringing out all the angry incels once more. I’m getting so tired of all this forced hate, but I wonder what studios/ Hollywood actually makes of it? Is it harder to tell if a movie is successful or not?
I guess the studios only really care about the money coming on (so the joke is firmly on those idiots who hate watch), but it must be tough for the actors, writers, directors, SFX peeps, boom guys, etc.
I know people will say “it’s all social medias’ fault” but I’ve been on social media since the MySpace days and I swear things have consistently got worse. Probably since around 2017, interestingly…
No I haven’t. Thank you for the recommendations!
Just watched Terrifier after hearing how good it apparently is. Yeah, what an absolute piece of trash. Definition of a horror movie director trying waaaay too hard. The only terrifying thing was Jenna Kanell’s voice.
I think the people who like it like it not because it’s good but because it’s terrible and gory. That kind of horror has its audience.
like the Urbanspook ARG. people like it cuz it’s gory, therefore ‘good horror’
Yup, some people just want insane gore from their horror.
absolutely. trust me. if i were you I wouldn’t touch Urbanspook with a 50 yard pole. If the concept of sewing fucking corpses together, viagra related horse killings(that’s the worst it gets) implied sexual violence, home invasions, horrific audio of people getting killed that will genuinely make you cry with how realistic it is, creepy faces like nothing you’ve ever seen before, and other horrible things I don’t want to type, don’t look it up. Note if anybody reading this has any trauma or anything, don’t click on the spoiler. Just fucking dont.
The original Terrifier is an absolute piece of garbage. Terrifier 2 is honestly incredible, and it’s amazing to me that the same man made both films. I’m not even a fan of gore, but goddamn is Terrifier 2 a work of art. I watch it on the regular.
But the gore isn’t even good, it’s just bad. Not in an 80’s Re-Animator “bad-but-good” way either, it’s just bad.
I’ll have to take your word for it. Not gonna waste my time.
I don’t personally know, I’ve never seen it. I just know that’s what Terrifier fans say. But bad or good gore is relative and some people love really campy or low budget gore.
Finally finished Loki. What an amazing show. When characters are treated this well it reminds me just how good the MCU can be.
Catching up on bake off. I cannot believe in the “botanicals” week (lamest implementation of a theme ever) how much of a break down random white lady had over something kind of going wrong. Like how ridiculous. Still rooting for Tasha I guess.
I’m about to watch Party Week. I’m hoping Matty pulls through. I do think Tasha has the skills to pay the bills, but Matty is just a classic bro, and I am cheering for my kind to be represented well!
Saw the Madame Web trailer. Someone really needs to stop Sony.
Fun for the whole family!
more like fun for the whole family that was brutally killed and stuffed in a container, and god this series is fucking awful in aspects. what’s really funny is that the creator only made the series to advertise shirts with his creepy paintings on them (the killer guy in the series paints pictures of the murders) but who the fuck would want to wear a shirt knowing that it’s a painting of a raped corpse is beyond me. Just make an advert or something at that point lol
