I finally got an Illuminated reindeer diy from a balloon. It was what I wanted most other than the festive tree. Now my island has reindeer scattered all over. I love it.

I’m attempting to make a dive bar in my basement and I’ve decided that the dark wood den desk would make a perfect bar surface. Unfortunately … I don’t have one.
Anyone got one I can trade for?

Best I can do is the Red Wood den desk, which is quite dark and nice but more mahogany than the dark wood. I am asking around however. I’ll let you know.

Just got it and it’s actually perfect! The mahogany gives it more of a saloon feel which I like. I’ve also got pirate barrels for the rum.
What I’ve ended up doing is creating a new user to be my “barkeep” and with a small loan of 1.4 million bells given him everything he needs to set up a full tavern with bar, cellar, lodgings, toilets… the works!

Yep, exactly that. On my Switch Lite I’m the only user so I can create 7 “alter egos” and use their houses for things

So if there is a shops island, does that mean we no longer have to wait for merchants to visit our islands so we can complete our various collections? I suspect they will have rotating inventory, but being able to check daily will be great.

I was happy to see what appeared to be a Disco ball, because my friend built a club a while back and said she wanted one. I think we were discussing ceiling fans too

So the time ordinances in update 2.0 aren’t that great. The Night Owl only extends current store close time by one hour. I presume the Earl Bird will only move open time up one hour. A bit disappointing given the extension in New Leaf was three hours.

Anyone have a favourite among the newly released villagers? Sasha is cute, but I wish he wasn’t lazy because I already have Bones and Filbert on my island and I kind of want to invite Sherb. Ione is cute, but again there are too many normals on my island.

Ugh, I kind of like and want some of the Lego ACNH sets even though most of my favourite characters aren’t in the sets. I hope they have subsequent sets, or boosters. I really want a FIlbert minifig!
