Just inherited a Polaroid One so I might go pick up some 600 film and submit some of my shots in the form of Polaroid scans.

I wanted to join you and post a picture of my plushies for today, but I just realised I had to put most of them are in storage recently:( But I wanted to say thank you for sharing yours and the difficulties behind it - I think others would agree this place is always a safe space to share whatever it is you’re into without judgement! I love that everyone is so welcoming here and and that you can express yourself in whatever way makes you happy because we’re all here for the same reasons and to see what everyone’s up to / hang out:)

How’s the price for you? I bought some for my 80s Polaroid 600 Supercolour camera but reserved it for holiday because it was quite steep. Bought some itype film for my Polaroid One years ago and it was a lot cheaper but the ink in the film ended up leaking and got on the rollers which was a mess! Never found out if it was my camera or the film pack, haven’t used it since! I’d be interested to see how the pictures look too because mine had an odd blue hue over them and again couldn’t tell if it was my camera. Exciting stuff using a Polaroid though, hope you enjoy it!!

16 exposures is $65 CAD.

The new Polaroid Go cameras take the I-type film that doesn’t have a battery in it which is supposed to make them a bit less expensive, but that doesn’t seem to be the case in my opinion.

I’ll try shooting it, I’m not too worried if it doesn’t work out.

That’s a bit cheaper than here actually!

Oh I was thinking of the Polaroid OneStep+, not the Polaroid One! The One looks neat though, haven’t seen it before! I actually liked how the i-type turned out, I still have the shots even though they’re heavily distorted, makes them look quite unique!

The One is probably about twenty years old.

Picked up the Polaroid today. Still has the receipt from 2004 in the box.

It had a package of 600 film with it, and surprisingly the battery still had a charge so I was able to confirm the camera is working. But the chemistry in the film has completely dried up so no shots possible. I’ll pick up a pack of film this week to play around with it.
