I am so lazy and have a hard time to sit down and get anything done right now. I am like this pub who has an attention span of 3 seconds:
But I remembered I should finally post my thoughts about the prologue.
Does spoiler work on mobile if I do all at once or do I need to do it for every part seperate?
Yes, controller is way better, no question.
The intro music reminded me a lot of Stardew Valley and was setting a very cozy tone, but I doubt it will stay that cozy.
I like the art a lot, that was one reason I wanted to play this. It is also well written so far and my brain has immediately given everyone distinct voices to the point that when I restarted the prologue for a moment I thought it had voice acting because I forgot I was reading only the first time. I think that’s a good sign.
I had to laugh out loud with the tutorial page for sprinting, it was so close to forth wall breaking “for what game that might be?”
The boy (at the street food vendor) that is doing everything his parents wants him to do, so his parents will do what he wants in the future… 4D chess, my boy!
The woman with the newspaper said a sentence that stuck with me. I am playing the German translation which seems to be very good, so my translation is not word for word what probably the English version is: “Seems the world is ending (because of the comet), glad I am already married!” WHAT DOES SHE MEAN?
- Glad I have someone at my side when we face armageddon.
- Marriage is so terrible, the world ending can’t be worse.
- Marriage is my purpose, so I have that going for me even if the world ends today.
I NEED TO KNOW WOMAN!
The “civil protection” guy “always tired and underpaid” I guess that’s an Indonesian joke on government worker’s situation? Also funny that he immediately thinks the main protagonist does weed.
YES, violence against alarm clocks IS A SOLUTION, especially if they try to wake you up for work!
TIL: Indonesia has their world ending prophets too and salvation is only possible if you are rich as everywhere else.
Is Jayabhaya a thing or did he made it up? There is a slightly differently spelled historic figure: Jayabaya - Wikipedia Reading that page did not help, wtf?
I wonder what co-author meant. Atma was so surprised and emotional about how the story ended, if he did not know the story does it mean he is the one doing the drawings oe is it because it is his dream?
The book is just there and magic is a thing. It is funny how I immediately accepted the premise of the red book, but was disappointed that the magic staff did nothing.
I got played!
Ghost girl is cute, especially with the umbrella at the end. Weird if she should be the one who made a person faint in the school (as said in the newspaper).
Why can’t I pet Bosque??? This game is literally unplayable!!! Also of course I will do my duty and pet every cat.
I also checked for Cimol the food deep fried tapioca balls seasoned with powdered flavourings.and then I was shocked that the newspaper lady read that food stands have food poisoned with textile dye and rat meat.
It was another thing she said that was such an outlier. Is street food looked down upon in Indonesia or is this because dreams are weird or story related, or did I miss something, newspapers lie?
The adds on the wall for Badut the clown, I checked if it is a person, but turns out badut is just the word for clown.
Kroncong music is something I have never heard before. The worker said it was brought into Indonesia with the colonial powers, Wikipedia says: " Kroncong originated as an adaptation of a Portuguese musical tradition, brought by sailors to Indonesian port cities in the 16th century. By the late 19th century, kroncong reached popular music status throughout the Indonesian archipelago."
So it was a dream then. Good. I don’t want school girls and college boys to already die in the prologue.
I am intrigued and want to know more, but I have a feeling that this could be something playing with a lot of my feelings, there is something cozy and something eerie about all of this.
