I should start collecting on Epic and GOG too. I do mainly on steam but those other two services keep on giving out quality games!

I havenā€™t bought a single game on Epic, but I grab the freebies for the most part. I have 10 pages of games on there. Iā€™ve never played a single one either. In one breath, Iā€™m like, cool, Iā€™ve got a ton of games, in another breath, it just feels like such a waste. Makes for a cool Grouvee shelf though!

At the start of the service they had these ridiculous 10 ā‚¬ off saves when the game costs at least 15 ā‚¬. I think I bought AC Origins, Odyssey and Far Cry 5 for 5 ā‚¬ each. I wasnā€™t aware that the Quantic Dream titles would be only timed exclusives so I bought them on Epic too. The free games are pretty cool, when you intend to buy them in the future anyway, but after playing a few of the titles Iā€™m a bit more cautious before flooding my backlog with trash.

I use GOG and Steam for the bulk of my backlog because these shops complement each other pretty well in BPM and Steam Deck. Epic still has a few exclusive games on their platform. Not sure if or when they come to the other shops.

Free Stars: The Ur-Quan Masters will make its way to Steam on February 19th. Itā€™s a version of 1992 strategy classic Star Control 2 that takes advantage of updates from its long-running open source project, and itā€™ll be completely free.

A classic worth having a look at, especially for free.
