That’s good news to wake up to! Still only 9% is… no… let’s celebrate the win, because knowing what and who he had against him and the money some people threw at his oponent it is a miracle and amazing!
Let’s hope the worst people flee NYC to Texas and “get 100 % tariffed” there. How would that even work?

The US Army is advising its soldiers in Germany to go to German food banks because of the shutdown.
(Not so) funny fact: Our food banks don’t work like American ones. First they are already overrun and have waiting times from up to a year, secondly you need proof you need the help by jumping through multiple bureaucratic loops that US soldiers can’t do and third they will be asked to get food from their employer instead.
I am very sure it is not a good idea to sent them there. Especially after the US Army has let a lot of German employees let go in communities where the US Army is one of the biggest employers or was. Trump threatening those communities with retracting more soldiers and with them jobs for Germans has also not made people in those communities a fan.
This advice is definitely not talked through with German authorities and reads like Chat-GPT “had an idea”.
Also just at the start of this month, the German Government had to step in and pay the local german task force, employed by the US military (eg like Germans who work on US military bases as contractors), in advance so they wouldnt be left without a paycheck.
