Cloudflare Blocking Access to The Website Intermittently

From a couple of months ago I’ve been noticing that my access to website is being blocked by Cloudflare for some reason:

In order to solve this, I need to rely on VPNs, either built-in to my browser, or into my operating system itself. This is a very bad experience since it makes everything very slow, and I can’t seem to think of a reason for this to happen. I also asked for some friends to try and access the website, and they are also not able to, we all live in South America, Brazil, is there something going on for my country in order to be blocked by the Grouvee website?

I also notice this goes away after a couple of weeks, and then it suddenly comes back, any clues?

I’ll defer to @peter, but yes, massive scraping assaults, for lack of a better term, are coming from Brazil, causing huge disruptions to the site. I believe he blocked Brazilian IPs to help restore some order. I’m not sure if he can make exceptions for certain users or if it’s best to just continue using a VPN.

What @WerqKween said. The last post in the Grouvee is down thread should explain it all.

I did just unblock Brazil, for now. This whole thing sucks. I saw the guy from Backloggd was posting about the same thing a month or so ago. This issue would be the actual reason to short AI. It’s going to destroy the internet and we’ll have nowhere to give it money.

Thanks a lot for the replies, I’ll read the thread you guys posted, indeed we are living in the sad timeline here where AI is used for the worst things possible, I hope all this dark era goes away as soon as possible, and I’ll continue using VPNs for now.
