Animal Crossing: New Horizons took a huge chunk out of my gaming time this year, dominating the number of hours I spent playing. I have no regrets about that. ACNH gave me a place where I could control everything about my life, something we were all increasingly unable to do in 2020. In ACNH I found an idyllic world where adorable villagers just wanted to say him, ask me how I was doing and check up on me when I was down. It was what I needed this year.
Here is everything I finished this year. I am pretty happy with my list, despite the multiple licenced games that ranged from terrible (F&F, Catwoman) to kind of amazing (King Kong!). Of the others my favourite games were Florence, No One Lives Forever, Tacoma, Uncharted 2, Super Mario 3D World and Captain Toad.

I’m happy to accomplish my goal of 48 finished games. Beside these games I played a lot Football Manager 2020 which was gifted here in the forums, thanks to @inc again. Here is my list in alphabetical order:
I knew I was using games to help cope with (gestures broadly at world), but compiling it all for this thread really drove that home. I’m thankful to have this hobby to retreat to in times like these, but I hope 2021 gives us all fewer need to escape.
Fun Facts
I played 104 games this year.
I finished 68 (~65%) of those.
I am still playing 5 (~5%) games.
I abandoned 31 (~30%) of the games I started.

Another year, another bits of backlog cleared away. Much better than last year, productively. Pat yourselves on the back, this was a fine one despite of the peculiar times we’ve been through lately.

You’d think that being stuck at home for most of the year would give me impetus to clear out a huge chunk of titles. Instead, a steady diet of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Bros. 35, a little bit of Tetris 99, and a late surge of Fortnite meant I went for comfort food versus trying new things. Not complaining too much but, wow, my list looks anemic.
