I find Thomas the Train kinda creepy but trickshots are the exception.
I shouldāve known it was this song. ![]()
This is beautiful! I loved to play with my BRIO train set as a kid (which I guess is here used because it looks exactly like my old set), but I had only standard trains and no clue until adult times who Thomas was. My childhood steam engine āfriendā was called āLok 1414ā (Lok short for Lokomotive) a hero in a series of audio books, most famous for itās speaker.
It is of course in German and from the mid - end 1960s, but could be fun to have a short listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHvMMtmLgU8 The sentence āIch bin so müd ich kann nicht mehrā (I am so tired, I canāt go on anymore) is still a saying used in my family for when we are exhausted, spoken in the specific rhythm of the steam engine.
Thank you so much for the funny video and the walk on memory lane!

I loved reading this. Inside jokes or phrases can be so funny to learn about. I wonder if I can learn the German well enough to start using it too hahaha.
Artists are basically superheroes in my eyes. These are so cool.
I found her shop and they arenāt cheap but some of the stationary wings are pretty affordable considering theyāre handcrafted. And if youāre crafty like her, she sells the patterns too.
We all know the story of the wolf in sheepās clothing, but this video shows a flock of sheep disguised as a Malamute. I felt so sorry for the poor dog. If you allow your dog to get into a bad fur situation like this, it is animal cruelty. Iām so glad this groomer did what she could, even for free and risking a lot, always trying to strike a balance between what needed to be done for the dog and what it could take. I canāt even imagine the owner bringing this mess to an inexperienced groomer and expecting it to work. I also liked how she criticised breeding dogs with a fur like this for the looks and owning them in a place with extremely hot weather and being unable to deal with the fur themselves or doing it so badly that the poor animal cries expecting pain even when there is none.
I feel so bad for cold climate dogs in places with high temperatures. They need the cold, they love to just sit in snow banks. That said, Malamutes are such sweet gentle dogs, so I understand wanting to have one as a pet. They just really need cold climates.
Iām a big fan of medium-long and long-haired cats like Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest cats, and hybrids, but you have to brush them regularly. They usually love it and appreciate when you brush them, so Iāt always kind of a nice cozy brushing session when I sit down to brush my cat. If you want a pet with a thick or long coat of fur, you need to be proactive about taking care of them.
I was just talking to my partner this morning about how there needs to be some type of licensing or clearance for owning certain breeds.
I have yet to see data about how piracy is rising. So far I do not see piracy being back in my bubble. People rather consume less media than bother with what comes with piracy. At this point piracy is also overrun with greed to a point that their āserviceā is for most people unusable. Not to mention that you need to pay for VPN to download anything if your IP adress is from Germany.
My library has more customers though.
Itās probably based on anecdotal evidence.
I donāt know anyone personally who pirates stuff, but if there is anything I really want to watch that isnāt on the two services we already pay or Iāll pirate it. I donāt find it particularly hard to do, and there are ways of doing it without a VPN.
Our local library selection is pretty sparse for movies, but obviously the books are good.

Yes you do. ![]()
I wasnāt expecting to find this so catchy. ![]()
Grandma Shirley is an inspiration and pretty famous on the internet.
Mortality weighs heavy in my mind and I worry about not being able to move around well when I get older but if I can still play games while being cozy, I think Iāll be alright.
What a legend.

Hereās a little tale about my grandfather. He retired at 70, but only because the company he worked for was bought out by another and he was made redundant.
Not long after he turned 75, my sister and I went to visit him. When he didnāt answer the door we didnāt worry too much as heās a bit deaf and he didnāt always hear the door bell. We let ourselves in but he wasnāt in the house. His car was still there. We searched a few minutes more until we finally found him on the roof replacing broken tiles.
At 80-odd he was still walking to the shops, about a 20 min walk each way, three times a week.
Now at 96 heās slowed down a bit. He fell and broke a leg so now has to walk with a cane as the leg never healed right. He also has running races with his great grandson around the garden.
The moral is, as long as you look after yourself and are young at heart youāll be fine. ![]()
