2 player games for my kids

Hi guys, my children (4 and 6 years) like to play videogames together.

It’s about a month that they’re playing Lego Star Wars II (Xbox edition) and Lego Avengers (Xbox 360 edition).

They’re starting to getting tired so I’m looking for easy games for two players in local (one screen, two pads, no LAN).

Any advice?

Thank you in advance

What options do you have in respect to consoles?

LittleBigPlanet (PS3, PS4)
Rayman Origins (XBox 360)
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (PS3)
Epic Mickey 2 (XBox 360)
Anything in the LEGO series (Indian Jones, Harry Potter, etc). I believe all are multiplayer. (XBox 360)
Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton’s Robotic Revenge (XBox 360)
Disney Infinity (XBox 360)

If I think of more I will post another reply.

Hi! Well, it sounds like you have an Xbox 360, so 2 off the top of my head would be:

These games are a little challenging, but they’re fun and have co-op. Challenge is good for kids!

Edit: This might be fun as well.

Some more ideas:

The Mincraft console edition for XBox 360 has split screen play. It may be a bit challenging for a four-year-old but it will definitely be something both kids could grow with.

In Never Alone one person controls Nuna (the protagonist) and the other player controls the Fox. Players can swap characters and switch to single player seamlessly.

I would suggest getting Castle Crashers on the 360.

Thank you for your advices.

I chose Rayman Origins and my kids seem to like it a lot (mostly because of the numerous characters you can unlock and use during the game).

A friend of mine, owner of a PS4, showed me Never Alone. I believe it’s a lovely game but I think it’s too difficult and tricky for my kids (they never played a 2D platform before Rayman Origins!).

In the course of my search I found www.co-optimus.com. It’s a good source if you look for co-op games.

I’ll update you when they’ll get bored by the Ubisoft IP (I think it’s gonna be very soon…) and will ask for something new.

The Kirby series, most games are 2-4 players cooperative play.

There are many amazing 2 player games for kids like monster catcher team, ninja duck adventure, table toss, gum drop hop 4 and many more.
