It actually sorts by number of activities, but it kind of correlates to number of ratings. I’ll have to look at it again tonight. My eye test says it’s still sorting that same way after toggling the button. The code looks like it should work. I do see one bug in that you can’t filter anything and still use that button, but I’ll get that fixed.
wow Grouvee got so much love, I’m pretty happy with these improvements!!
When creating a list, I can’t rank my games in the order I want them. I can only do that after i publish the list and edit it. Is that supposed to happen or is it a bug?
It’s not really a bug since that is the way I wrote the code. Not too sure why I did it that way. I’ll see how hard it will be to update the interface to match the edit list interface and then change the create API to include ordering.
I guess for now, I’d just create a blank list, then go back in and edit it and add the games and order them as needed.
It’s been really cool seeing these updates roll out. Though there is just one thing about the theme filtering: regardless if the box is ticked or not, in my browser history all my grouvee searches have the word ‘erotic’ in them now ![]()
Yeah, there’s probably a better way to do that.
Editing to say, it emailed me the CSV, haha. There’s no issue, the JSON thing worked well. User error.
Wow, you’ve been busy! I finally created a List of my own ![]()
Suggestion: Is the data organized in a way that you could put something on each game’s page that connects it to Lists it appears on?
I’m not sure what the optimal UX would be - maybe part of the User Stats area, a new stat would be how many Lists the game has been added to, and clicking the number would take you to something similar in layout to Community Lists | Grouvee but filtered to just Lists that game is on?
I think it’d be neat when looking at a game you’re interested in playing to see what kinds of lists people put it on. There are probably a lot of people who wouldn’t have taken the time to write a review for a game but will stick it on a List that tells you something about how they felt about it!
Just wanted to pop in to say the new UX updates are great ![]()
I’ve used grouvee for a while, but browsing on the mobile site was always a bit awkward. This is so much better, much appreciated!
Is it possible to add a similar sorting for the shelves? In fact, this is sorting by the popularity of the game among the players. Such sorting could help when choosing a game in some cases. And it is dynamic, which is always interesting.
Previously, whenever I finished a game, I’d rate it and be able to directly write a review. Now I’m not seeing how to write one. Where did that go? Can you make it easy to do do that?
Well, you’ve only ever been able to write a review from a game details page. Everywhere else you were only able to just give the 1-5 star rating. The new IGDB style pages and the old Giant Bomb pages both have a button on them in the “My Review” section that says Write a Review whether you’ve given a star rating yet or not. This might be a moot point since it looks like you just wrote a review. If I’m missing something, just let me know.
Hello everybody, I’m trying to find information about a new feature that was recently added and I can’t find anywhere else to ask, so I hope this is the right place. What is this new list next to the played button for? I kinda have an idea, except for the limbo option which I don’t get
I added this a couple of weeks ago (silently obviously). I didn’t know what to call Limbo. It probably should be called Infiite, or Forever or something. The idea of Limbo was for a game that you’ve played, but don’t want to call abandoned or finished. You might come back to it. But that’s also what the backlog is for. It was also for games like Minecraft or something that you just keep playing, but maybe don’t want to put on your playing shelf. I could also see just getting rid of it and only having the abandoned/completed thing. All I know is that I personally like using the Completed/Abandoned tags.
Ohh gotcha, I was thinking it meant something along those lines. Yeah the name is a bit confusing but it does seems useful, at least for me. I made a shelf exclusively for endless/multiplayer-only games, to better keep track of them, so having the option to do it with just one click seems pretty cool
I’ve been organizing games like that as “endless” games. It’s not the best term either but that’s the best I’ve come up with. When I read Limbo, I read it as “paused”, like not actively playing but not abandoned yet.
I wasn’t sure where to make this request so apologies if a different thread should be used.
Is it possible to add support for WebP image files? I have an extension on my home computer to convert them to JPEG but any other device, it’s a bit harder to find a JPEG cause a lot of places are using WebP now.
At first I was confused because the main site allows webp, but for some reason it wasn’t an allowed extension here on the forums. I added it to the list of file formats allowed to be uploaded here.
