[MBLC Poll]: February 2015

We’ll declare the winners at the end of the day tomorrow. The soon to be closing Joystiq does this thing called 4 in February that I think the backlog club can help you out with. It’s pretty simple, finish four games in February. Sounds like a fun goal to me.

That sounds fun! Why is it in February and not another month? Or every month?

Sooooo, Grim Fandango seems to be the big winner.

The rest has 2 or less.

What is the third game going to be?

Last month, the third place winner was chosen by a random picker since it was tied. I imagine the same will be done this time. Unless someone wants to swoop in and break the tie last minute?

Run-off elections with one-vote per person?

I’m good with this idea. I’ll delete my previous winner post.

Just post the name of the game you want to vote for in a reply. These are your choices:

Terranigma
Chrono Cross
South Park
Seiken Densetsu 3
BioShock Infinite
Far Cry 3

Tomorrow morning I’ll post the real 3rd game!

In the mean time, go to town with Grim Fandango or Mario & Luigi!

Woo! Even if I did spend about an hour last night talking about how good South Park is with my brother…

Yeah it sounds like most of us already finished Stick of Truth. It was a good game.

probably too late to join in for February, besides I am still addicted to Dying Light for now!
I have also played a few titles from that list already…
The Stick of Truth was great fun!
if you haven’t played it? go PLAY it straight away!
Far Cry 3 was also a lot of fun!
and Bioshock of course, awesome!

7 Reasons Terranigma is the Best SNES RPG Most Gamers Never Played
Terranigma does sound very interesting, I had never heard of it!
I think I have played Grim Fandango a long time ago, I have vague memories of finishing it and liking it.
Mario & Luigi sounds fun! The fourth entry in the Mario and Luigi RPG series has Mario traversing dreams within Luigi’s mind. But I don’t own a 3DS

You can always play the games past February! I know the people on here would still love to talk about any of these games.

I do hope we get a bit more chatter going about these games this month, or else I’m going to have to figure out a different format for March to get people going.

That being said, I’d love to play Terranigma, I just don’t really know how to get at it without downloading a ROM.

Terranigma –Yeah, same problem!
I must look into that! see if I can get to play it somehow!
I enjoy a bit of retro gaming sometimes! :sunglasses:

I assumed ROMs were legit for a case like this… I’ve been distracted, but figured I’d pour my next weekend into an SNES emulator and try to rock it out in 48 hours.

Yeah, I think they kind of have to be. I’ve been trying to get my brother who’s in Japan for a couple weeks for work to find me a copy. Totally necessary!

When I visited Japan, I picked up a number of Super Famicom games and Mother 3 to justify emulating the English ROMs. It’s definitely way cheaper to just buy in bulk should you find yourself in a used game store in Japan. It’s astounding how easy you can find rare (or at least rare for America) titles for extremely low prices. The Mother 3 GBA Micro bundle was $100 used and in near-mint condition! (which is an amazing steal given that thing goes for about 5-10 times that price on eBay)
