So similar to how I watch tv shows now though youtube clips.
i mostly just wanted to mention that i use serializd. i think its a lot better than trakt (not sure if its newer)
also, i donāt watch a lot of tv/shows (i do recommend the show i link to though, its pretty cool) Nowadays, TV is arguably better, its higher production quality and āsmarterā than ever, but yes, like some others on here mention, i dont find it as engaging (or even as entertaining) there are exceptions but overall, iād rather play something⦠Part of the issue is devoting time to something and not losing interest. The last show I tried to watch was Twin Peaks (and it was great) but then in season two it dials back a bit⦠Seems every show or series has its ups and downsā¦
However, I do watch movies. I love movies. But I donāt watch them to be simply entertained, I am curious about different perspectives, from different eras (i like a lot of foreign films and older films) I like to watch a lot of particularly BAD MOVIES. One of the things that my love of video games got me into, was actually anime, in an effort to actually trace the influence that led to the creation of games, i was forced to basically explore it!
So, I guess you could say I actually watch more things BECAUSE of games, haha ![]()
Tracing the influence is an amazing thing⦠Its crazy how things influence each other. I just saw Streets of fire and the whole time i was screaming TETSUOOOOOO ![]()
@IsabelaLeticia Oh, youāve gone and done it! now iām curious about finishing twin peaks and exploring Silent Hill⦠(only played the original but very much enjoyed it) There are some interesting parallels with the setting of Twin Peaks and what I know about Japan though⦠Also David Lynch himself had a zen-like approach to the creative process (the scene in which they are throwing rocks at the bottles is very evocative of his description of the process as outlined in the book he wrote, Catching the Big Fish, (itās very fun if you read the book and feels like a private in-joke he made about himself)
