I think there was a blood moon in the UK tonight that I wanted to see but didn’t get a chance:( I wanted my submission to be a night picture of the oldest town in England as I’m watching a play there about witches but before I knew it I was driving home pictureless so no submission from me today ---

It’s Thursday in Australia, so @Jace may be sticking to only submitting photos for that timezone. I’d still accept a photo for today, but I understand if that goes against the spirit of the challenge for him. ---

Fine fine, I’ve sent my photo!! I’ll keep the jewelry prompt in mind for a rainy day next time I’m stumped on what to snap. I took it last night and kept coming up with pedantic excuses why I should trash it, like the framing isn’t good or the lighting is weird… but I think it comes down to feeling vulnerable sharing stuff I have a close attachment to. I internalized hiding away hobbies early on, but I don’t believe that’s something I should have to worry about on Grouvee or any community or space I choose to be a part of now. It’s a bad habit I want to do my best to unlearn, so I think it’ll be helpful for me to untangle these insecurities through fun stuff like this challenge. Basically: I’m neurotic and overthink tiny things, but I’m working on it 😓 I hope this doesn’t come across as overbearing, but I found it helpful to explain my thought process for getting so worked up over a picture I took of my stuffed animals lol. I’m excited to see everyone’s photos as always!! It makes me happy to go through them. It’s fun to try and guess who took which photo before clicking through the info for the answer! ---

You’ve motivated me to take a vulnerable photo as well. Not sure what it’ll be yet but I don’t want you to feel alone. Thank you for submitting it still even if it was super scary. You are not obligated for making yourself uncomfortable for any reason but your bravery is really inspiring. EDIT: Also I fucking love plushies. I’ll take a photo of them at some point too but they don’t make me feel vulnerable sharing so I won’t use them for that prompt. ---

Thank you very much Roach. I really was fretting about this but I couldn’t feel more reassured that it’s very much OK and nothing I need to be afraid of. A simple photo of my support plushies is a small step, but I’m really happy if it could inspire even a little bit… I just find it helps me to be as honest with the people I surround myself with as I am with myself, even if it’s to a fault. It speaks as much to the trust I have in this community that I feel safe being vulnerable. ❤ I hope the inspiration will go on be a recursive thing and we’ll all to push each other within our respective comfort zones. No judgment, all kindness! And **yes please** post plushies—this goes for anyone who would feel comfortable doing so! They are my greatest weakness and will likely be my downfall. But honestly, just seeing the subjects and passions of what everyone takes photos of has been wonderful and plenty for me to be comfortable sharing mine. ---

I published at the end of the day and then I wasn’t actively looking at it as much. I got a notification from Lockne’s account and added that photo after publishing but never got one for yours until I dug for it. I think when you read one message it wipes all other notifications and I didn’t see that I had other unread messages.
