I’m sorry China. You are now gone too. I’ve slowly added a couple of other rules to cloudflare that seem to be working on stemming this. Cloudflare shows you what percentage of requests they’re serving out of their cache. It was under 1% when I had the attack mode turned off. Now I’m back up to over 60% since I’ve added some rules and banned a couple of countries. That basically means these bots are just hammering tons of URLs with made up querystrings and such that cloudflare can’t pull requests from its cache and help mitigate this. Hopefully they’ll just go away soon.

LLMs are an actual nightmare.
I work with some big wellknown websites and our bot traffic is through the roof. (Unsurprisingly Cyber funding is at an all time high where i am and seems to be an industry trend)
But its an uphill battle and the road is getting steeper.

If you have any tips or extra things I should be doing, I’m all ears! This round of bots had a fairly distinct signature that I was still having trouble blocking. The only thing I could really do was block a few countries and just hope they go away eventually.

Sadly, blocking the whole country affected me personally and I couldn’t figure out what’s happening until I googles “is grouvee down” and discovered this thread.
Had to use a VPN to write this message and export my data 
Is there any hope in restoring normal access for non-US users in some near future?

Yes. I can restore access at this point. The bots have mostly moved on. Now it’s Google that’s pummeling the servers.

I had to block Brazil again. I’ll be unblocking it here soon (probably today).
I’m getting pretty sick of this song and dance. I’m using Cloudflare to do all this. I had their “AI bot protection” turned on, but then it was blocking requests from my payment processor. There’s no way to let those requests through unless I give them a pretty good amount of money, and I’ve had to upsize my servers to much recently because of all these bot attacks that Grouvee is costing me way too much money at this point. So now all I can do is block the regions these attacks are coming from when they show up.
I’m sorry. The new internet sucks.
