2 scary 4 me
i’m back again
Hi, me again
I have a question to the name fixing of the witcher games. When I sort them alphabetically grouvee don’t ignore the article “the”. Is this how it suppose to work because there is only one game in my backlog that does the same ( The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut).
I have a question concerning the listing of dlc’s. I think it would make more sense to write the name of the base game before the title of the dlc. Last of us has it, Bloodborne has it but Xcom 2 for example does not War of the Chosen (2017) | Grouvee
I’m sorry for floating your thread with postings. Here is another name sorting issue.
A Golden Wake
A Vampyre Story
Another article, same issue
bye and stay healthy
Not sure about those Van Helsing games, they all have that formatting, same with The Witcher.
And yes, DLC is a mess and has been for a while.
I did fix the naming on the two games starting with A.
@ maimegidola merged those, thanks.
Thanks for the changes
Have the witcher games the same formatting as for example the 7th guest?
Nope. Witcher/Helsing are sorted by T, The 7th Guest is sorted by the 7. @peter any comment on this?
It’s due to the way the sort name was entered. The Witcher is listed as is in the sort name field. The 7th Guest is listed as “7th Guest, The”. This is likely due to the way they were entered on Giant Bomb. It’s easy to fix, but we’ll have to look at what the prevailing sorting methodology is currently and decide how to proceed as a result.
I don’t know why the The Witcher games have gotten messed up. I know you know about the 2 different name fields in the database, but I’m going to explain it here so everyone else sees it (@Vasul) .
There are 2 name fields in the database. One is the name you see on the page, and the other is the name the game gets sorted by. When the script runs to grab games from Giant Bomb, it strips the word “the” off the front, and puts it on the end. The only way now it would get put back is if someone who has editing powers went in and changed the sort name. I’ll fix up the Witcher games to go back to the way they should be. Same with the Van Helsing game. I’ll run a query to see if there are others out there that are messed up. I suspect there are.
As for the A Golden and A Vampyre games. That’s because I failed to take into account games that start with A! I’ll fix that in my script and fix the game in the database that are already messed up. Luckily I just checked, and there are only 279 games that start with the letter A. That’s not nearly as many as The I’m sure.
Thanks for the notice @Vasul!
Now it sorts these games by T again
I think @peter already changed it correctly
Fixed the sorting name for all of those, they ignore the “The” now.
oh no, there’s too many processions heading to calvary pls stop them
Merged.
There. Are. 20. Characters.
Hi, it’s me again. Hope everyone is fine. I’ve found a game which details need to be changed
it has a lot of platforms in its description but I think it was an exclusive game to ps vita and everyone else got the hd version (at least PC)
bye
