Duplicate database entries

Just went to add this to my shelf when I saw it had two entries. And in fact, it seems most if not all the Picross S series of games has duplicate entries.

LOL sorry I keep coming out of the woodwork only when I go to update my library and find duplicate games

Here’s Absolum

So when you see the two different formats like this, that’s a result of the ongoing IGDB merge. You can ignore those. If you see multiple like this - Absolum (2025) | Grouvee, those ones we can merge.

Hello! Just curious how exactly merging will be handled in cases where there is data for both types of pages. For example, I might already have rating, playthroughs, reviews, etc. in the legacy page of a game like Stardew Valley. Then I forget and the next time I search, I see the new page first and give it a new rating, add some playthroughs, etc. Could the merge possibly result in some conflicts, and if so will my logged details on one page type be prioritized over the other?

tldr; I guess what I’m really asking is: should I ignore the newer pages entirely for now to avoid potential conflicts with the user logs on original pages? For newer games (whose legacy pages take longer to get added but their new pages sometimes show up even shortly after announcement), is it safe to just use the new pages and ignore the old ones for those?

There’s 4 entries for Pokemon TCG Pocket. The one that should probably be kept (since it has the most accurate info):

The ones that should be merged:

and this is the new UI one, which I dont know if it should be merged or what. It does a have some expansions/DLCs listed which the other entries don’t have:

You are correct, however we’re keeping IGDB entries, which is the new UI entry. I’m working on it, very slowly.
