I just grabbed the blank sketch cover of that comic for my son last week!

I’ll probably take it to th next con I go to and get something done, even if it’s “just” an indie artist.

Finally set up the awesome Ghost Rider figure my wife bought me. Now I have two bad biker boys in my collection!

I just need to have a rant about secondary market prices. One of the Shrunken Heads I need to complete my Might Max collection is currently on eBay for £90 without the figure!

I mean, WTF? Who is going to pay that for an incomplete, off card toy from the 90s? It’s just madness!

As it is I might have to consider my Max collection complete as I’m to the point now where I need the rarer stuff and the prices are just utterly stupid!

(For those not aware, Shrunken Heads are about 3cm tall. While there is nothing for size comparison you can see images of the ones I have HERE.)

Trump’s tarrifs are destroying the toy industry.

From here.

They’re destroying my wallet too. Thankfully we found an egg dealer through my partner’s work but times are rough. Trying to get essential stuff now instead of holding off like I normally do cause I’m afraid I won’t even be able to buy clothes soon. It’s too soon for me to really understand how much this will impact my household but the anxiety is real.

To be honest I’ve not heard a great deal about how the tariffs are effecting “regular” purchases. Sounds terrible.

Wanna buy an egg, Roach? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Sorry I had to. Not making fun of how hard the times are and on anxiety. I feel with you, every time we go grocery shopping we have less in our cart for our money! We only buy what’s on the list now, no extras.

We stayed in Newquay a d travelled around that area. We went to the Minak Theater and the Eden Project, both of which were incredible, as well as Penzance to see St. Michael’s Mount, but we didn’t realise you had to book the boat online so we didn’t get to actually go to the island. This pretty awesome though

Pretty much end to end then. I love visiting the eden project.

There used to be this little theme park in cornwall which was great for kids, sadly it closed down this yeah. Flambards.

It has a ww2 simulator inside which is the most memorable part to be because it was terrorising to kids.

anyone else on pricecharting? Pretty snazzy site. @tylerisrandom and @JoeyPajamas you should totally check this place out if you don’t know of it. They got an online marketplace modelled after ebay it seems for buying and selling specific things you’re looking for (I haven’t tested that yet, as i’m not looking to increase or decrease what i currently own) Note: They deleted my account for inactivity 7 years ago, but i didn’t (thank god) import that much in it beyond NES/2600 titles… Kinda time consuming (Much more than Grouvee shelves) but always wanted a proper database of a lot of things, and with an import/export function, it’s pretty groovy It also tracks hard assets and collectibles in real time… Considering the types of goods you can have on there (comics, coins, quite a bit) this is actually a pretty neat and impressive thing that shows you some sense of economy data (don’t know of another thing like it) I hope it doesnt vanish, even with the ability to export sheets. They dont seem to make much money and don’t charge fees for auctions i think other than a paypal fee or something. Very much feels like a hobbyist ran site, and all the content seems to be curated by the users. Classic. The longer corporate America stays out of our hobbies and doesnt see them as lucrative things to get their fingers into our pies all the better though probably! (Though I do like what they did with GameFaqs when NewCorp or whoever bought it)

I found another neat site worth sharing with the fine folks here because its a retro VG hardware forum for people looking to buy and sell weird oddities. I’m thinking about joining it in a month or two to try and drum up interest (during the Super Mario Bros 40th anniversary) for a collectible Mario Display thingie i have that is really kinda rare and its the best condition sample that i’ve ever seen (compared to ebay) There are some particularly weird things on there if you look, and knowledgeable people who can explain what some of this archotech is. lots of hardware hackers/modders on there too.

@Bliceheart I need to get some paint at some point for my minis and finish some projects that i never did. but i absolutely hate GW paints (specifically the containers they come in) I got like a very large set of maybe 50-100 USD worth of them on ebay that were used and they all dried up in a few years. I still have some of the old containers, and those dried up as well most of them (but the older containers were actually better than the new ones) I don’t trust what they have now for this reason, and they are really overpriced. I didnt know Green Stuff made paints… Are you happy with the rest of the colors? Maybe you could just augment those shades with something else. If you find a solution let me know!

which one of those you after? I got a few… somewhere.

Also, I might be in the market for used toys and action figures to Frankenstein into my warhammer collection at some point when i do find the time to get back up and running… ebay isn’t really the ideal place for this. Ideally i want castoffs and broken toys that nobody even knows what they are  thats the most fun stuf to work with and let my imagination run wild and i dont feel bad about destroying something of value

Did they by chance make a Nick Cage Ghostrider? That would tempt me as a collectible, the more abominable it is, the more I would want it

Because I’m a total nerd I’ve made a wish list HERE which lists the ones I’m after.

The only Nic Cage Ghost Rider figure I know of is one from Hot Toys and is pretty hexy.

I’ve tried a few sites like the one you’ve mentioned but they always end up shutting down. I don’t know if I have the motivation or patience to log my whole collection now anyway.
